This mash-up of summer movie trailers has me more excited for the season ahead than any one of those trailers individually. Fires! Zach Galifianakis! MacGruber! Everything gets blowed up real good! The only weakness of this otherwise extremely impressive mash-up? Not using “O Fortuna” for the soundtrack. “Preliator” is nice enough, but I really crave that soaring “statu variabilis!”
What summer movie are you most looking forward to, PopWatchers?
Previously: Every action movie in one trailer

Eh.
It was ok as a sort of round-up of the movies that are coming out this summer, but I definitely think it could’ve been cleverer/more fun.
It was mostly a bunch of random, silent scenes from each flick one right after the other. Definitely could’ve used more cheesy one-liners.
…and the movie I’m most looking forward to is “Iron Man 2″, even if I am starting to get a little worried that it may be a bit too overstuffed.
I’m looking so forward to Iron man 2. But mostly because it was my first extra gig. And Robert is so awesome. It was a fun couple of days that I spent there and I was up front right across from him the whole time. But I’m also looking forward to Dinner for Schmucks because I was in a scene near Paul Rudd and he stole a line I made up on set. But quickly changed it back to the written one after I said “No, he didn’t” to another extra. Although it’d be really cool if my line was used. I could then the next time I see him say “Dude. You owe me.”
So basically, you’re only looking forward to the summer movies that you’re in…how selfish can you get?!
Maybe your line will make it on the “Schmucks” DVD.
Hey, video creator here…I really didn’t want to bog it down with quotes or lines. Even the Tom Cruise line was a tough addition. I’m glad you enjoyed it, but stick around for more videos int he coming months and I’ll try to use your advice.
Inception, Toy Story 3, Scott Pilgrim, Salt and Knight & Day are the ones I’m most stoked for.
Iron Man 2 does look overstuffed, but I think I’ll enjoy it, but I don’t think I’ll LOVE it. A-Team could be surprisingly fun, but I’m not counting on it. The Predator reboot looks interesting, for sure, but not must-see. Prince of Persia looks ridiculous. So does Shrek and Despicable Me. MacGruber is already getting positive marks, so that might be a surprise hit. Robin Hood also looks boring; it just looks like a more serious version of Prince of Thieves. Meh. And I’ve already counted out The Last Airbender, since I know it won’t be nearly as enjoyable as the series. But, with those five films alone, it’ll be a great summer.
1. Inception
2. Iron Man 2
3. MacGruber
It’s like you read my mind.
Yeah, I stupidly forgot about “Inception” (probably because it doesn’t seem like a summer-y movie) despite the fact that it’s the very first movie featured in this thing!
Anyone know what the movie with the bald girl with the tail is? I must have missed the trailer for that one…
It’s called “Splice”, with Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley.
I hadn’t heard of it until I saw the trailer for it before “Kick-Ass” this past weekend. It’s about scientists who create an alien-human hybrid. Basically, it looks like a non-sexy “Species.”
Thanks!
Im looking forward to Eclipse because it was the only decent twilight book so im hoping the movie will be as good! (or as good as wuthering heights + vampires and warewolves can be!
)
Hey Margaret…it’s actually Lacrimosa Dominae from Immediate Music’s Trailerhead album. I do love Preliator and O Fortuna, though.
