'Buried' poster: Big chill, leeetle Ryan Reynolds

Filed under: Movies and tagged: ,

buried-posterWhat is the new teaser poster for Buried, the movie that stars Ryan Reynolds as a contract driver in Iraq who’s buried alive in a coffin with no memory of how he got there, saying?

A) Ryan Reynolds won’t open a movie on his own — especially if he’s not shirtless — so don’t worry about featuring him prominently

B) It’s the universal fear of being buried alive that will sell this movie, and this is the best way to convey that terror

C) All of the above

Does Quentin Tarantino get credited as a writer for this?

    • Bob

No. The credit should go to Edgar Allen Poe.

You’ve got to be kidding. Do you really think Tarantino invented this idea? Are you even old enough to watch Kill Bill? Further back than Poe, Dante uses it in Inferno (no, not the video game, young’un).

LOL…..I was just thinking that too. Uma Thurman could get out of there and be getting coffee within the hour. But then again not everyone is a trained assasin.

      So could Buffy.

I’m hyperventilating…I am so afraid of being buried alive.

I could not be more excited (or terrified) to see this movie. It got huge sundance buzz (which doesn’t exactly mean it’ll be awesome, but it doesn’t hurt) and I’m ready for less shirtless ryan reynolds and more this is why I’m an actor ryan reynolds. Bring it on!

The Vanishing! The original, not the one with Jack Bauer from the 90s. Scariest saddest buried alive scene of all time.

Even before Kill Bill, this premise was an Alias episode, where Jennifer Garner’s character was buried in a coffin underground with a dying cell phone and vanishing air supply.
