How did you all celebrate Earth Day? I turned my desk fan off and spent a bunch of time refreshing Google to see if the homepage image would fulfill my ultimate Earth Day fantasy and gradually tint itself blue. But you probably, like, recycled.

Well I ate a salad for lunch. I didn’t think this counted until the Food network feed on Facebook suggested salads as a way to celebrate.
btw, your question about the ocean vs. the earth reminds me of a horrible video I had to watch for science class one year. The whole thing was about the oceans and the voice over concluded with: “since the earth is mostly water, shouldn’t we call it “the ocean”?” My entire class started giggling. good times

In high school I had a math teacher who was Glenn Beck x 10 who made us watch a video about how global warming wasn’t real.
In MATH class?? That’s obnoxiously irrelevant.
I usually keep my computer on all day. But I kept it off until 6pm today! I needed to at least turn it on to visit EW, because I can’t give up EW for Earth Day!
I read an article about the environment? And I recycled? Wow, the senior-in-high-school version of myself who wrote a research paper on climate change would be beyond disappointed.

also forgot to add, that i recycled paper and went through things that i could donate that i don’t want anymore. and funny, our trash/recycling day is tomorrow! recycling is usually every other week so it’s neat that it’s the day after earth day haha. yeah i find things like that exciting lol
I put some temporary tattoos on my arm that were green and had recycle symbols on them. I also wore a bracelet that was made out of recycled stuff. I am not that into Earth Day because it seems kind of dumb to try to save the Earth one day or week out of the whole year. Today I tried to be opposite and be unEarthy!!
I think these tv networks’ promotions for Earth Day (e.g. the whole Today Show repeating ‘ooh we are green’) is such crap when they aren’t allowed to actually say how to help the planet bc of their sponsors.
