It’s kind of funny to hear people talk about Trey Parker and Matt Stone like they’re pioneers fighting for free speech. They’re doing this because Comedy Central told them they can’t. Believe me, I love South Park…I own every season on DVD and look forward to the new episodes on Wednesdays. But this is nothing more than 2 grown men who’ve had their way for years now, and don’t like being told what to do. I think it’s great to take a stand against terrorism and this type of radical behavior. And the idea of South Park mocking every other religion and ignoring Islam simply because of the threat of violence is absurd…but I still question the motive behind this all.

No. Matt and Trey are 100% behind the argument concerning free speech. It is the biggest thing that they promote and fight for. Read/watch interviews. This isnt a pissing match between them and the network and what they can and cannot do. Free Speech is one of the biggest reoccurring themes in South Park.

I think a good response to this would be to say “dear crazy extremists, what you are doing is stupid and you will most likely end up dead because of it” then post the home address of every one of these extremists and the place they create the website from…lets see how crazy deals with other crazies.

    • Brandy

Exactly. The people who work for this terrorist group should have their pictures, names and addresses posted all over. Who knows what will happen to them when the people of the US know who they are and where they live?

LOL screw the radicals. If they are so easily offended, perhaps they just need a hug…hence the teddy bear costume. The one thing these jokers dont understand is, we arent scared of them. Playground bully isnt so tough. All they can do is sucker punch. Show muhammed, show em we arent afraid.
I salute Matt and Trey for what they do. Political correctness is for the weak.

    Meh, I like Family Guy.

I suppose you also believe in the invisible zombie who cures the sick, namely ME.

      • Dev

        This.

  • Nathan

That’s right Arabs, just keep giving us more and more reasons to pity and hate your sorry desert rat asses.

    • @ Nathan

You mean Muslims, Nathan, not Arabs. There are many Arabs and Arab-Americans who are Christians, either Maronite or Catholic. Ralph Nader, Marlow Thomas, Kathy Najimi, Paul Anka, Casey Kasem, Jamie Farr, Paula Abdul, Doug Flutie, etc.

I really like South Park and their social commentaries; however, when they cover topics in such a controversial manner, this reaction is pretty much expected. There are fundamentalists to every belief system. On the flip side, while it is important to have a sense of humor about things, no one like the beliefs that they hold sacred to be completely shredded to bits.

    • Brandy

But you saw this episode yes? Because your comment then goes out the window since none of those things were done.

  • Robert

This might be the best season they’ve ever done. We’re certainly off to a start like never before. Not a bad episode yet!

    • jesus

Are you a retarded towelhead? This season blows, the facebook episode is the only good episode.

      Last Season was epic

I’m paraphrasing Parker and Stone here but, “either everything is fair game or nothing is fair game.” They may be overpaid man-children that make cartoons but right now they’re actually putting freedom of speech to the test.

The people behind the killing of the dutch cartoonist and the people behind this ridiculous “revolution muslim” website are just making it more obvious who’s in the right here. We can either choose to live in a civilized world or we can let non-civilized people dictate how we live our lives. It’s just that simple.

bak-bakala! Dirka, dirka, muhamed jihad? Haka sherpa sherpa! Bakalah, muhamed jihad!

  • Cris

Technically, this is the third time they’ve (tried to) depict Muhammed. First was Super Best Friends, when he appeared with no backlash. Second was Cartoon Wars … then these two episodes.

it’s absolutely outrageous that these islamic extremists get so worked up over a cartoon. you don’t see catholics sending death threats to matt and trey for all the christmas episodes, the way jesus is portrayed, or god showing up on a new years episode as a strange little hairy creature. little puns on the jewish faith is a regular joke on this show but no rabis are threatening to blow up their production studio. the only thing this threat is doing is solidifing the global stereotype that western christian civilizations are more mature and civilized compared to the extremist wackos in the middle east. i will personally be watching tonight’s episode and will applaud the writers’ ingenius creativity and bravery

    • topher

That’s because Catholics like South Park. Cartoons make it so much easier to lure little boys behind the confessional.

      • Ian

well if those little boys ever watched south park then they would know better than that

  • Sam

I just made my facebook profile picture South Park’s picture of Mohammad, don’t be a wuss, join me in doing this to support the creators of South Park. If the terrorist want to kill one of us let’s give them reason to kill all of us and see how far they get!!

  • william

YOU GUYS DON’T GET IT. NONE OF YOU DO…I’VE BEEN READING YOUR PLACID, HO-HUM COMMENTS. “OH MATT & TREY’RE JUST JOKING, IT’S NO BIG DEAL.”
    WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    THIS IS SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    GLOBAL CONFLICT IS NEAR.

Thanks Matt and Trey….4 KILLING US ALL!!!!!!!

(Just joking. I can’t wait for episode 201).

  • Brandy

So basically this group of people are saying that Muslims should kill others for showing photos of their religion? This group of extremists are who give everyone else the perception and stereotype that all Muslims are evil. And then the Muslims get upset that people think that and are mad at us for thinking that. They should be mad at their own people instead.

  • Joseph

I can’t even formulate a sentence about these idiots. I swear, the world would be a much better place if someone would just put all of these people in a room and execute them somehow. And I don’t mean all people who share the faith, I mean the idiots who think their faith allows them to ‘warn,’ threaten or kill anyone else because they believe in some douchebag named muhammed.
