Image Credit: Tyler HendersonStep aside, Jackass — the Dudesons have arrived. On May 6, MTV will premiere its latest guys-with-too-much-testosterone-doing-crazy-stunts reality series, called The Dudesons in America, and EW.com has an exclusive first look at the show’s explosive (literally) trailer.
Produced by Jackass‘ Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine, Dudesons in America documents the don’t-try-this-at-home antics of four Finnish friends as they attempt to make their way in America by, you know, outrunning tigers, stepping into a bullring while walking on stilts, or standing on top of a seven-story building as it’s being demolished. “It’s Jackass meets Borat,” says the group’s 29-year-old ringleader, Jukka Hilden (pictured, left). “We try to live the American Dream while struggling to find our place in this society. And we do all these American things, like trying to become the first Finnish Native Americans, or creating a military for America against their evil northern neighbors, Canada.”
The group consists of Jukka, Jarppi, Jarno, and HP, who have been exhibiting an appetite for extreme stunts since their childhood in Seinäjoki, Finland. “It all started with us skateboarding and snowboarding,” says Hilden. “At some point, we noticed that we’re way better at falling off the board than actually doing a trick on it.” By 2001, they launched their own Finnish TV show, Extreme Duudsonit, and in 2006, an international version of the program, The Dudesons, started airing on Spike. And now, with their own American show, the Dudesons can injure their bodies in ways never before possible. “In Finland, we had these huge, crazy ideas, but we never had the budget,” says Hilden. “Doing a show for MTV opens up all these new opportunities to really do our wildest dreams. I think there’s magic to come from it.” Yeah, and a gazillion trips to the hospital.

I honestly think dudesons will die soon or some of them will. I just heard one of them got seriously burned in one stunt and that demolition stunt nearly killed one as seen in the trailer as it didn’t go down as expected.
The Dudesons have done this for over ten years, and you think they will die “soon”? It may be that some of them dies on one of the stunts sometimes in the future, but I dont think its going to happen like next week…
Jackass cast was reckless and somehow funny, this guys are just stupid.

Haha, sorry. I just don’t get this kind of humor. I understand there are people that do. I didn’t mean to get anyone worked up. The scene with the guy in the hospital made me think of it, so it wasn’t totally unprompted.
Actually you can’t pay for their healthcare since they’re Finnish
In Finland the state takes care of the healthcare, and they also pay their extra-insurance for insurance companies theirselves (heard it’s a bit higher due to the risk of getting hurt).
Heltcare is free in Finland.
They pay for it in taxes… not free

Does it really matter if they’re labled “new Jackass” or not? The whole thing has a kind of “been there, done that” kind of a feel because of having seen the boys from Jackass. I for one have no desire to see this program because I’ve grown weary of the whole “painful and dangerous stunts done for laughs” genre after seeing it done over and over and over again.

Maybe, and this is just a thought, a person can’t make a decision like the one stated above without first viewing the trailer in order to make a more informed decision. Did you ever think about that, Vaxi? Hmmm, apparently not…

The Dudesons are absolutely hysterical and completely crazy. I hope they air some of their old footage from way back when. These guys were doing Jackass before Jackass was even a thought.

The Dudesons have been around WAY longer than Jackass, have lasted longer, and are about 10x more extreme. Bow the F@%# down, bitches. 8)
