My Love and Prayers to the Harris boys. I have watched every season and the reruns. Capt.Phil Harris the the most real person and a man that was born to crab. God be with you all.

I watch the show faithfully, I feel overwhelmed with grief, I am so proud of Cap. Phil for being a great dad he will always be watching over his sons.

I have watched DC since the beginning…Phil and Sig have always been my favs. I agree that the Wizard/Time Bandit should go…Those captains have changed since the show started..I once had a lot of respect for Johnathan, when he saved the man that went overboard….I miss some of the old boats and crews, like the Rollo…show will never be the same w/o Phil…God bless his sons and family.

Captain Phil Harris was fav of mine too & show will not be the same without him!
However, I’ve watched deadliest catch since the beginning & I think he is pretty harsh on his son Jake. I know Jake can be cocky at times, etc, etc but he is MUCH MUCH tougher on him than Josh. I think 99% of the time, Jake is just seeking his approval…it’s heartbreaking to me. Am I the only one who feels this way???

next to firemen you are the greatest.

I thought it was interesting that they left in the scene from the bonfire when Jonathan shoved Keith to the ground. I suspect that the producers agreed Keith had it coming… but you got it wrong when you wrote,
That battle ended with Johnathan saying, “You know what, don’t even f—in’ call my boat unless you’re f—in’ sinkin’.” On the one hand, that’s cold. On the other, it shows that even if you hate someone, you save them on the sea.”
What Jonathan actually said, was “Don’t call my boat, EVEN if you are sinking!” And I know that if Keiths’ boat was sinking, Jonathan would quit fishing immediately. That is the Code of the Sea up there. It was a cold shot, but not true, I don’t think.
