I believe that the reason American Idol had Adam Lambert on the show was to boost the ratings. Dancing with the stars beat out American Idol for the #1 show for the past couple of weeks. I truly believe that AI thought that more people would turn in just to see Adam. Adam did a great job on the show last night. And, I thought he gave great advice to the contestants. I think that American Idol is trying to cover up the truth of why Adam was invited on the show. It was not to help out Adam but it was to boost the ratings on the show since the number of people watching the show have been falling. I am still mad at Adam for what he did on the AMA awards but I think he did great last night. But because of what I saw on the AMA awards show, I know I will never go to one of his concerts. But last night, Adam did great and brought back a little of the magic that was on the show last year.

Thats funny!! All the reports I read said that Idol had Adam come on to boost their sagging ratings!! I think Ken is trying to deflect those rumors and took a cheap shot at Adam. But as usual, Adam handles it with class!! So sick of all you haters.

To me it is totally manifest that Adam Lambert is one of the fewm great discoveries of AI. The show has turned out a lot of people who miserably failed to meet expectations. Lambert IS NOT one of them. The guy is amazing. Even if you don’t agree with the statement he makes (and I can understand that) you can’t deny the guy is artistic genius, working on many different levels. He’s going to be around for a very long time. Don’t waste your time fighting the obvious.
Absolutely he came back to boost the ratings, DWTS has been beating Idol every week.
Last year when he was on Idol, it was the highest ratings they’ve ever had……rock on Adam.
LOL Warwick. Of course he’s going to cheap shot Adam Lambert. Do you expect him to say “our ratings are failing and our talent is non existent this year”? Or haven’t you noticed the pathetic flat miserable judges comments because there is absolutely NOTHING they can say about this crew. Ryan is flailing around saying stupid stuff just to fill time. Adam Lambert’s tremendous talent killed that show forever and Warwick knows it. It’s so funny nobody here has even mentioned ANY OTHER “contestant” as being measurable against Lambert. Just hate as usual. Go sulk, he’s here to stay.
Warwick realizes the MISTAKE TPTB made last season by denying ADAM the title. It’s not just the mediocre contestants they have this year because ADAM proved last night that with just a modicum of mentoring they each have the potential to do better … the ones who heeded his advice, that is. AI lost its credibility because of the VOTING fiasco from last season. They SHOT themselves in the foot & they are having a hard time recovering. So why not ask the ONE Idol back to MENTOR who TPTB know will boost the ratings? But ADMIT that’s why … NOT the Idol PTB!! ADAM was a GREAT mentor & I saw a definite improvement in MOST of those kids last night! KUDOS! ADAM!!

Good point Freya…..Adam did push them waaay out of their comfort zone, and it was nice to see the results.
