Well I just saw the clip from their rehearsal (Kate and Tony) and my condolences go out to Tony to have to be around a woman who b*tches and whines all the time and cannot handle celebrityness. Honest, she’s in the tabloids — so what? She’s a nobody who happens to get more press than the President and she should be thankful.
I know Tony will be glad when this is over. You just know it — seriously.

DancingFan222, I’ll answer that question. It’s one thing to provide for your kids, it’s another thing to exploit them for money.
She wouldn’t be worried about walking away from millions if she and her husband had not decided to whore themselves out to the gods of television. There are plenty of families that manage to make it out there. They get these things called…wait for it…JOBS!
I’m not a fan of Kate, but being a single mom and trying to raise my two children, I must empathize with her on a level of having to provide for her 8 kids. People… she has 8 children and is now a single mom. Again, not a fan of hers, but do you all know how much it costs to pay for one child’s diapers let alone 8 or however many of them may be in diapers still? And then there’s food… groceries cost A LOT OF FREAKIN’ MONEY!!! And then, there are the regular bills… electric and water alone will cost a mint between how much water is used for baths, washing clothes and washing dishese whether she uses a dishwasher or washes them by hand. Everyone is so quick to judge her and the choices she’s made… I think she’s actually done something clever in “whoring” herself to television. Her methods may not have been what most people would refer to as “ideal,” but she is bringing in an income to take care of her children. You all can make whatever you want of her, but she doesn’t drive a fancy car, she doesn’t wear fancy clothes (and the fancy duds we see her in for appearances are provided for her and she has to give them back at the end of shooting whatever program she’s on) and she’s not living the “fancy lifestyle”. You are all so eager to say she’s such a horrible person and frankly, I’m tired of it. Put yourself in her shoes and ask yourself how you’d finance bringing up 8 children. You either get a job that pays six figures and, well, most folks out there these days don’t have the skills or education to score that kind of job; or you go on welfare and become a drain of society and our tax dollars. She’s a MOM raising EIGHT children. If you all hate her so much, stop wathcing her on TV, stop reading about her in the tabloids and stop talking about her like you know her. You don’t know her. I don’t know her either, but I’m not going to make a sport out of constantly judging and berating her.
I get that you are a single mom and it’s a struggle. So you think it must be 10x worse for K8.
Do you have a chef to cook for your kids?
Do you have someone who comes in and does the laundry for you every day?
Do you have nannies/babysitters that stay with your kids when you are OUT OF TOWN each week? (not just after school until you get out of work)
I don’t think she’s worrying about the water bill every month. If she was, she wouldn’t have bought a $1.5M mansion on 26 acres. Because if she really was “scraping by” you’d downsize your house to make ends meet.
Now here’s the big question, Single Mother of 2. Do you get $20,000 a month for child support? Think you could scrape by at Walmart and Costco to feed and clothe 8 kids with that kind of money? Remember, you are living in a mansion, that hopefully you paid cash for with the $10M you earned on TLC. So don’t worry about that mortgage payment.
Just in child support alone, K8 has access to $240,000 to raise those kids. I think that qualifies as a 6 figure salary.
BTW, she DOES drive a fancy car. A 2010 Land Cruiser. Base price is $65,000.
Don’t try to tell me she’s a poor starving single mother who is making sacrifices for her kids.

KATE=HATE You have to be out of your mind if you think any decent individual, especially a mother, could ever be jealous of Kate Gosselin. This is a woman who has no communication with her parents, brother, sister, sister-in-law, best friend and co-author of her first book (Beth). I find it difficult to believe that all these people that were at one time so important in her life and her children’s lives, and they have all, as she says, thrown her under the bus. I have never seen or heard of any of these relatives or Beth, with the exception of her brother and sister-in-law, who may have actually been advocating for the children, going against her. I believe she uses everyone in her life, until they no longer serve to advance her agenda. These children become attached to the people in their lives, and then they disappear, never to be seen or spoken about again! When Kate is questioned about the role of her parents in the children’s lives, she has no reply. The truth is she cut them off after her father refused to return the items that people from his congregation donated to Kate and Jon, prior to the birth of the sextuplets. Kate only wanted CASH! When her father refused to do so, she never spoke to either parent again! Oh, except when she needed someone to watch the twins when she was in the hospital! She never did anything for Aunt Jodi, Kevin, Beth or reciprocated play dates at her house for the twin’s friends! Then she takes off on her speaking engagements, book tours, and when she comes home after being away for weeks at a time, she goes to the nail and tanning salons. She then bitches and belittles Jon for not completing everything on the list of things she wanted done while he was home caring for the children! She knew he wasn’t happy, but she LOVED what she was doing and that is all that ever mattered! She was the one responsible for that marriage ending and anyone with any insight would have seen it coming! She put aside her children and husband to fulfill her own personal agenda! He made mistakes, but they came way after the marriage was over! This was a family that she promised would always be together! Those children were so used to having both their parents in their lives daily, then Kate takes off to scam “love offerings” from people that paid to hear her speak. She made them believe that, without their donation, her children would never have the things or education that their children enjoyed. Meanwhile, they had purchased a mansion and were banking over ten million dollars from TLC. They then get a divorce and share custody. Now Mom is gone weeks at a time and Dad doesn’t live with us anymore! Now they are being raised by near strangers! If Kate really cared for those children like a mother should, she would have realized that this was not the time to leave these children! They need her there now to show them that someone they trust is there for them! Give these children what they really need NOW, stability and their Mom’s assurance that, regardless of the divorce, we still love you and will not abandon you. I think the bank account will carry you until your children have adjusted to what has happened, to not just one of their parents leaving, but BOTH! Just think, without the implants, veneers, extensions, spray tans, and maintaining your skin and nails, you could have stayed with your children for a few months! It’s not for the kids, it”s for you and your huge ego! How are you ever going to explain to the kids that this was for them? How much money will be enough before you realize that they don’t need the extra things, big house, and hired chefs and nannies that money buys, but instead a little love and much needed attention from their Mother. I just hope they don’t begin to believe that they are next to be eliminated from their Mother’s life, like all the others that have been there one day and gone the next! Forget DWTS, GMA, The View, The Insider, and Entertainment Tonight! Your children don”t need to see you on these shows, they need to see you in the morning when the wake and before they go to sleep each night! Regardless if you can dance or not, you need to go home and be with your children! Otherwise, you and your children will regret your absence later and they did nothing to deserve the problems they will surely suffer as a result of your attempt to “do what is best for your kids.”

Did anyone else think the constant camera switching was distracting? In the performance showcases, they camera POV kept cutting from one view to another to another, in like 10 seconds. It was distracting and hard to follow what was really going on.
They’ve always made it had to watch the dancing. It’s not a video, where they have to cut every 2 seconds to make it look like singers can dance. These are dancers. Give us some decent camerawork.

Chad Ochocinco has 4 kids and no one’s asking him to go back to them. Not that I support Kate Gosselin staying either – but she should’ve gone home because she’s a bad dancer, not because she’s a mom. Every celebrity gets paid $200,000 regardless of how long they stay (except for the top 3 and Kate’s never making that) – so if all you single working moms have Kate’s number on speed-dial and want to make things easier for her, send her home early.

The people that don’t like Kate are the ones who can see through her. She can say all she wants that she’s doing it to support her kids. The truth of the matter is that she’s a narcissist and is on this show for supply (attention). She cries on every episode and plays the victim (and blames things on everybody but herself). She enjoys the fame and doesn’t want it to end. She’s a cold human being and when people confront her on her behavior, she goes into victim mode. Yes, she has 8 children, but she also chose to raise that many children. People feel sorry for her, but for all the wrong reasons. I feel sorry for her and her children because she has Narcissistic Personality Disorder… and she will never be happy in life (and those children will suffer because of it). Without talent, her fame will run out. That day will happen sooner or later…. I’m just hoping for sooner.

Thank you AliFran. People with NPD are great at manipulating people and try their best to keep up their image for the sake of their (false) ego and gaining supply. Most think it’s all about self love, but in fact people with NPD are extremely insecure. The entertainment and political field is a cesspool for narcissists. Reality shows is full of them. People with no talent and enjoy exploiting their drama (most will admit, it’s great entertainment). My main beef with Kate is that she’s using her kids to get the supply she needs, using them as pawns in her divorce, and making a sh*tload of money in the process. I love watching her for the sake I know how her mind ticks. Her fans are completely blind to her game. But not everybody is educated about NPD. I feel for her and her family because it is a serious disorder. Narcissists are psychic vampires and negatively effect the lives of their partner, spouse, siblings, parents, coworkers, and friends. The only difference between Kate and the Octomom is that she is better at manipulating her audience.
oh, and the main thing she lacks is empathy. She is not thinking about how all of this is going to impact her children down the road and is only thinking of her own gain. If she had empathy, she’d put herself in the shoes of her children and understand the negative effect she’s having on their lives. All of this is just my opinion from observing her and I see that she has all the signs of someone with NPD. I think the mental well being of her children is way more important that having a huge house, fake hair, expensive car, and fame.
Courage? Get real. Kate isn’t on the show because she has courage. She is on the show because she loves the attention. All martyrs love attention. She remains on the show because its rigged for ratings.
That can be said about ANYONE who is on TV or in the movies, etc. They all enjoy being in the spotlight.

I honestly don’t care about how annoying Kate is or how much she complains and creates her own drama (which she does). This is a dancing competition. She can’t dance. Get rid of her. I don’t ever remember someone getting the lowest score every week on this show and staying on. I’m completely sick of her whining on Dancing and any other show/magazine she is on. She chose to be exploited and to be the center of the media. That was her CHOICE. She was not forced into stardom. Therefore, she needs to get over it and get home and raise her children.
If she were “doing it for her kids” she would be home raising them with the child support money she gets and the royalties from her book deals instead of letting her Nannies raise them. Kids that age need their mother, not to just watch her on TV – they actually need to see her every morning at breakfast and every night before bed at least!

it is rigged for kate for sure. there is no other possible explanation. all of the other stars have pretty solid fan bases, sure they might have haters but not nearly on the level of kate. she can’t dance. at all. even the nicest people who can’t dance get voted off eventually.
my guess is this will go on a couple of more weeks, then the producers will have to make sure she is gone before it becomes REALLY obvious.
I actually don’t think it is rigged. I am a nurse and a lot of the older nurses love her. Most are divorce and bitter and I think there are a lot of women out there who are the same way. Of course, I would not be surprised if it were rigged, but remember misery loves company.
