It would be crazy of them to send Kate home so soon – she is a huge ratings boost.
You don’t actually know if she is boosting the rating. Just because she gets all this attention from the media does not automatically imply her popularity. George Clooney is treated like the biggest movie star but his films do average at best at the box office. It’s like the twilight actors. Even with all the attention, their films outside the series don’t do well. It is all Hype.
George Clooney is treated like that because he has a air about him like classic movie stars, he is a hansom, talented, and truly has a respect for the artistic and heartfelt aspects of his profession.
George Clooney was in several Oceans 11 movies which made lots of money at the box office. And Up in the Air did fine at the box office.
George Clooney doesn’t have nearly the box office record of someone like Tyler Perry. He is hansom, though. Just like a cab.
It’s pretty clear that she is indeed a huge ratings boost. She is the only thing people seem to want to write about on these message boards. The network would be utterly foolish to let go anyone who is creating so much buzz for the show.
As much as I dislike Kate, I hope she stays on so the reality check (no pun intended) sets in for her.

Kate was so awful that I just couldn’t stand to watch her dance. I am sure alot agree with me. She should be the next to go………..PLEASE….
kate IS an awful dancer but she sells the show! we love to hate her…so we keep watching. I’m betting she’ll be gone next week followed by Jake. I adore him but he can’t dance either. He’s cute and sweet!
I’m not buying Jake. I find him, with his attitude and condescension towards Chelsie (his teacher!), way more offensive than Kate. He clearly can’t handle an ounce of criticism from a woman. (Ironic, given that he was the bachelor — or is this why he was was still single?) Is he just a petulant child, or a true misogynist? To me, he seems to have anger issues but is also hyper-aware of the camera and very interested in his psuedo-fame. I can’t wait until he’s off the pop culture radar. I can not stand him. There’s nothing to prove she’s a ratings booster. DWTS is basically entertaining because not only do they dance…but they have singing performances.
Why is she still on? Who knows….maybe she has fans? Or maybe it’s the VFTW syndrome. Some voters really want her to win so it can embarass DWTS.
I find it interesting that you think the show is entertaining partly because of the singing. The singing is horrible on DWTS!! Did you hear the guy whose voice kept cracking. Oh my word, there is no entertainment value because of the singing!
I can’t stand to watch it BECAUSE of her!! I love dancing with the stars, but I have such a huge dislike for her I will not watch. She has NO talent what so ever and I think its a JOKE that she’s even on.
Kate Gosselin should be sent home. She is not dancing she is just walking. I think she is terrible. The person that dances the best should stay on. She is no-one special. I feel sorry for what she is going threw but the best dancers should stay on.

I agree Buzz needed to go, never should have been there. Great guy and very well respected but if we are honest he should have left last week. Now Kate should be next. I don’t hate the woman she just cannot dance, she is out of her league in this competition and I am sure Tony wants it to end.
Ok, I’ve defended Kate over stuff with her kids and Jon but really, last night was just plain awful. I had a look of total horror plastered on my face while watching the Paparrazzi dance. She honestly can’t dance and needs to go home. Please.

Buzz should have gone last week then Kate this week. They were both far worse than Shannon and I wanted to see her dance some more. He tried and he’s a real American hero, but he was painful to watch.
Send Kate home she is such a dreadful dancer, enough is enough, what ever happened to giving the ones that can at least dance a fair chance.

Isn’t the WHOLE point of this show to get better as you go? Give Kate a break this is all new to here, she isn’t the best but each week she does a little better…. the show would be boring if everyone kicked ass right from the start….I think kate is doing well and deserves a chance… TEAM KATE and TONY!

I thought she was worse, too. She proved that being drug around by your male partner takes skill – I hadn’t understood that until she was awful at it.
Kate needs to be the mother she says she is, and tend to her 8 children. Already it was very visable that the one older twin had an anger disorder, I wonder why? Kate cannot dance, and no you don’t vote out of sympathy, you vote for talent, something she has none of. She goes on all the talk shows whinning about her div, what man could live with her, did you watch her shows, how she treated Jon??? If you did, you would know she is an evil lady. She needs to leave ths show. Hopefully Jon will get custody of his kids full time.

1) class has never had anything to do with whether someone stays on this show.
2) Kate stays, so there will be more people talking about what a lousy dancer AND mother she is–bonus.
3) Either the producers are messing with the votes or people are “voting for the worst” like the website dedicated to keeping the worst singer on AI. That’s it, Kate is the new “Sanjaya.” Even the hair makes sense–next week, “fauxhawk!!”

She is staying because many mothers are voting for her! Like there haven’t been other mothers on the show.
Yes, plenty of other mothers; how many other mothers who have 8 kids, who complains about photogs following her everywhere, but who is constantly on the road promoting herself. When she IS home, she is just dragging the kids around to get her nails and hair done. I think the reason she gets on everyone’s nerves is she is the FIRST person to be critical of everyone else–EVEN the guy teaching her to dance on this dang show to get MORE publicity. She wants people to feel sorry for her but if she is SO worried about “earning a living,” she could sell that frickin’ house and live within her means like the rest of us “peons.”
she looked miserable when spending time with her kids hope that her disaster on DWTS isn’t interfering with her time with the kids. I am a single mom and granted I only have one daughter but I am definitetly NOT voting for her! Dancing is hard work (I know i tried it in a talent show while i was stationed in korea) and ya know you either can dance or you can’t and I know I can admit that I CAN’T DANCE! so Kate G needs to come to the same realization and do all of our eyes a favor and JUST STOP IT ALREADY!
