Image Credit: Brian Bowen SmithSo Deadline’s Mike Fleming reports the third xXx will be shot in 3-D, cementing the fact that the movie will be all about threes: three films, three Xs, 3-D. I’m optimistic, because, as the old phrase tells me, good things come in threes. (Unless I decide to live by rules of The Room, which dictate that three’s a crowd, Denny.)
The other big news here? Vin Diesel will be reprising his role as spy Xander Cage (Ice Cube took his place as the leading man in the second installment), and Rob Cohen is back on board as director. (The film has also shifted from Sony to Paramount.) Also on board: Samuel L. Jackson, who will again play Augustus Gibbons. And since this is 3-D, I’m kind of hoping Gibbons becomes a victim of a surprise shark attack. Anyone else feel the same way?

Couldn’t care less about xXx…I just want you guys to keep linking to clips from “The Room” as often as you can. That movie is something everyone needs to experience!
I will only go see it IF there is a surprise shark attack.
Oh enough of 3D already!!
This kind of comment is going to increase after the appalling money making decision to “convert” Clash of the Titans to 3D. I’d believe anyone who told me that there was only 30 minutes of actual 3D footage in that film; truth to tell if I was told that it was an April fool joke and there was NO 3D at all I’d believe that too. All it did was make a dull and unimaginative film even worse, as we struggled to make sense of 3D blurred action. Or was it just blurred action.
3D is the future as was sound and colour and wider lenses. Like all of those not every film will be made using all or any of those tools. I really don’t get the “enough of 3D” feeling though, I really don’t; Cynical movie studio money grabbers notwithstanding.
maybe his biceps will get the 3D effect and attack the audience
Funny to see Vin Diesel returning to his old film franchises (Fast and Furious, now this) after he chose to leave them. Does he really have nothing else to do?
The films make more money with him in them which means he gets paid a lot of money to be in them. That gives him the freedom to do whatever else he wants, regardless of the box office as he, and studios, know that XX and F&F are as close to sure fire hits as you can get.
I’m just hoping we get a good Riddick Sequel, he’s a great character and deserved more than the box office that Chronicles had. The Xbox games were class too.
Dont hate on him. cant help it if he”s fine..he is the right man for this movie..to bad ice cube played him in the second one..there was no comparrison..Cant wait to see the movie..he iz finer then hell..
I will go and watch it just cause I like the whole spy business nut the funny thing about this whole situation is that Xander Cage supposedly was killed in XXX State of the Union. Mentioned by Gibbons.
