HBO is going all out to advertise the June 13 return of True Blood. This week’s new poster is simple and blunt — just the word VILF. Reading what it stands for to myself (Vampire I’d Like to F—, presumably) actually made me a little uncomfortable at first. It’s like HBO knows (of course they know), and that’s somehow more embarrassing than me saying it. Again and again and again. And again…and again.

Yep, Andy. Bill and Eric are too lean, almost frail looking. Andy has more meat on his bones, and he’s much hotter in my eyes. So, yes, I guess for me it’s CILF. Who knows, maybe during season three it’ll be Andy’s butt we get to see?

This is the ONLY place i can ask this question and not be completely eviscerated for it: Is it weird that I find Eric the character way way hotter than I find Alex the actor? What cha’ll think?
Nah, I get that. Eric has that bad boy with the heart of gold thing going, whereas Alex just seems like a nice guy and a talented actor.
I would venture a guess that it’s roles like this that get people stuck in type-casting. Is Hugh Grant good as anything but charmingly-befuddled? John Cusack as anything but a guy who we want to love, but has an infuriating PeterPan complex?
I like Alex as a person but not such a turn-on. Eric, on the other hand, is dark, controlling, complicated, menacing, with 1000+ years of experience. And, when he commits to love and being loved, a fiercesome thing to behold.
Oh yeaaaah… Eric any day!
I totally believe it’s viable to fall for a character and not the actor… The actor just puts a body and face with the character… it’s not them. They are simply the vessel for the character’s portrayal. When I read the books, Bill Compton is much more rugged and handsome than Stephen Moyer. I mean, he’s easy on the eyes, but in my head, he looks different. And Skaarsgard (sp?), well, he’s eye candy, no doubt… but the character is so sexy, bad, and a bit misunderstand, it’s hard not to crush on him, even though he’s a killing machine.

I know exactly what you mean. In any other roll, I would find Alex mildly attractive, but as Eric . . . He makes you burn! I hate Eric as a character until the later books, then I fell head over heels for him. Makes me want to say “Bill who?”
I would love to see him in other roles! More intellectual ones, though, not just the bad boys. I really love his acting and really believe he has much more to offer.

I fell in love with Eric in the books, then Eric in the series. I saw an interview with Mr. Skaarsgard and just though, meh. But Eric? Succulent!
