As of now, the “prem-ee-ay” has begun. Brooke Burke is the cohost and she looks like a mirrorball trophy. Edyta is dressed for a winter lunch, Pam Anderson’s pink shift appears to be one of Kate Gosselin’s dress’ eight babies…oh, god, it’s all happening so fast! Yep. Starting next week it will air before Lost. The results will combine scores & voting for this week and next week’s dances.
I’m guessing Evan Lysacek will have as much “connection” with his partner as Louis has with Niecy.
I am not sure why Evan Lysacek looks like a living doll to me. Something about him seems like he’s not fully animated or alive. Maybe it’s the really weird Ken-doll-like tan or the weird shellacked hair. Just something about him is off and it made it hard to watch him dance.

As much as I respect Buzz….no possible way he could compete in this realm.

The only reason Buzz is on the show is so Disney can promote Toy Story 3.I noticed Tim Allen was sitting with Buzz’s family.I hope he does better next week .He was slow and out of step with Ashly.
He will do better with the smooth dances.

it was Ray Lamontagne “hold you in my arms”. Excellent song by a excellent singer. He is amazing!!!!
He is – that’s not even his best song. I love “Shelter”. Such a great song!

I think Pam Anderson is drunk or high….between her descent down the stairs, cheering wildly, crazy hair, eating flowers, flashing the devil horns…her dance may be especially messy….we can hope for a memorable first night!

I think Pam anderson is SO refreshing. She is who she is and she’s strong and confidant about it. She’s made a living out of being that way. If she had come out all prim and proper with a dimwitted “plastic” smile (achem, Kate Gosselin, who I was actually rooting for), you all would pick on her for that. she knows the “game” and at least she’s going to be herself and have FUN in the process. Unless, you’re an actual dancer, getting up there live, has be TERRIFYING!!!!

I LOVED Pam Anderson. She was such a hot mess but she was entertaining! Plus I have a feeling that she could actually be good… at least at the sexy Latin dancing. Go Canada!

Ashley hasn’t been on since season 3 and they give her Buzz (no offense, Buzz, you’re an American hero – just not a dancer)?? I missed her and want to see her for a few weeks….

Tony looked like he was dragging a statue around the floor tonight. Kate Gosselin is stiff as a board out there. Nicole was good and Pam did a good cha cha. Not sure she could pull off a waltz though.
No one surprised me – I knew Kate would be stiff – hard for her to be led and she gets very nervous. She froze when she guest hosted the View. Aiden is hot but had no hip action. He, Buzz and Kate all have the ‘stiff’ factor – can’t relax and move into the motions or make the steps more than just steps.
I so want Tony to win – sadly I don’t think it’s going to be this season and I’m sorry but Bruno’s remarks to Pamela Anderson were just inappropriate, even for him.

In the past, I have been inclined to stick up for Kate Gosselin, but I have to agree with you here. Pam Anderson and Neicy Nash are mothers, and neither mentioned them. I realize that being a Mom is her only schtick, but it did seem desperate and reaching when she mentioned them. I highly doubt her young kids were going to lose sleep over her dancing on a reality show that airs after their bedtime.

Sara, I think your comments are a little bit uncalled for. You can’t criticize Kate Gosselin for being on a show with her kids, and then ALSO criticize her for being on a reality show that doesn’t star her kids. You can’t have it both ways. I’ve got to kind of agree with Alan. I can’t stand her, but your comments are really over the top. People on reality shows mention their kids all the time. A contestant on Survivor, Kathy, even lost her son a few weeks before the show and she mentioned in all the time, in tears. Crystal from American Idol mentions her kid a lot too. And also, the Bachelor, he’s not a celebrity either, so why is he on the show?
I can’t stand Kate either but she is the “mom” archetype, and each season on DWTS they have one. Brooke and Jenny Garth also mentioned their kids and didn’t get judged for it. Where Kate may have a problem is that she is a reality show star… who doesn’t seem as beloved as she once was. It’s my guess she is on minute 14 of her 15 minutes!

Yeah, she was fun. Personally, I like a contestant who is a bit detached. I like it when I don’t think their self-esteem is tied to how long they last. I think Pam is just having a good time and I appreciate that.
Pam and her partner belong in Vegas! He actually grabbed her breast during the performance! It was trashy. But yeah, fun, interesting as compared to the rest. Hope she’s willing to grow and not just party every week. And she does seem like she’s been drinking or doing something – hope I’m wrong.
Absolutely best cast ever. The only ones I dislike are legend Buzz Aldrin and annoying Kate Gosselin. I could watch everyone else dance for weeks and weeks. Favorites of the night-Pamela Anderson and the female sports reporter dancing with Max (Erin something or another). Brooke was a washout as the cohost. Thank the stars for Tom Bergeron.
