Whoa. Dude, you just blew my mind…
Not to toot my own horn, but…a couple of weeks ago I suggested that the Man in Black and Jacob were two halves of the same soul. It sounds like Doc. is comin’ round.
Locke himself had a crazy mother, no?
Is it still true that no kids, other than Aaron, have been born on the island?
Can fake Locke leave the main island (to kill the Ajira folks)?
I’m also hoping for some link between the island and the sideways worlds. Interesting point, there.
Perhaps the “child” inside Jacob is actually that blonde kid that FLocke feared?
Well, I’m with you up until that Faraday/Juliet/Smokey theory of yours.
But I’d like to remind you of a few things: the Tempest by Wm. Shakespeare also, as I’m sure that you know, contains some interesting parallels to Lost. And tempests aka storms occur often at VERY interesting times in Lost — helicopter to/from island, suddenly (to hurl the Black Rock inland) and quite often (in the form of sudden rainstorms when bad things happen… such as at the Temple, right before the massacre…
And I like it best when you reference other books, etc. EVERYONE – and I mean everyone – else digs up the past Lost epi parallels. I don’t mind if you do too, but don’t, please, do it at the expense of pointing out literary, mythological, religious, scientific and philosophical allusions.
I don’t know how anybody can think Sawyer&Juliet are a romantic couple. We never saw them get together, and right after we found out they were together, Kate came back. And Sawyer couldn’t stop looking at her. And Juliet was so jealous every time he called her “Freckles” or looked at her or anything. Sawyer obviously never got over Kate. Sawyer&Juliet my arse.
