Ready to rock and roll all night (and furiously remove make-up ev-er-y day) with Gene Simmons? You better be, because the season 5 premiere of A&E’s Gene Simmons Family Jewels is just a few days away (March 21 at 9 p.m.). And by the looks of this exclusive clip — which shows Shannon Tweed getting a biopsy and Gene embarking on, and then canceling, a tour — we better gear up for a dramatic season.
What else can we expect from season 5? According to A&E's press release, Sophie graduates high school, Gene turns 60 years old, and Nick rocks out at Comic-Con to launch his graphic novel, Incarnate. But there's more to celebrate: This season sees Family Jewels' 100th episode. So will you tune into watch what Gene himself calls "the most unconventional conventional family"?
I wonder if the show wrapped before the controversy erupted around Nick comic being a(n alleged) rip-off of Bleach and other assorted manga. His “apology” was downright embarrassing, and the company that publishes Incarnate has stopped selling the book.
Haven’t watched in a while but it’s a great show. Can’t believe Genie is 60! Hope Shannon is ok. They really are a great family. So normal compared to The Osbournes.
Awesome. Exploiting breast cancer for the show. No concerts were cancelled, this is just more hype for a staged “reality” show.
Can’t wait for new show! Been there with Br.lumps, very scarey. Luv the whole family. And to “Jon” he just a kid give him a break, with Gene as a Dad he has a lot to live up to. All the best to them all.
I think the show is hilarious. It shows that “Rock Stars” are really just normal people too…

I was not sure about Gene Simmons or did I know much about him other than the obvious KISS stuff. I was pleasantly surprised and found I liked and respected this man for his committment and his caring for and taking care of his family. I respect him and admire his values. He still is a little crazy but good crazy. Good Luck Shannon, my mom just hit 5 years from lung cancer she is 79.
