this and american idol is what i look forward to every week. i love idolatry! but homecome you didnt even mention didi’s performance. one of the best this season! but im with ya crystal and siobahn.
The thing with Didi is everyone forgets to mention her in his or her recap, that says a lot.
Ugh, even Idolatry nearly puts me in tears this week.
With such a horrible season, I never thought I’d get attached to someone so early.

YES. This season was awful and the suddenly I was really invested when I heard Alex. Now that he’s gone, I don’t care about anyone. Except Siobhan.
Can we bring back mullet boy to sing Bananas in Pajamas, while wearing pajamas, naturally
Think about this hilarity: how many of these yutzes can you actually imagine being THE AMERICAN IDOL? Not just fighting for safety every week, actually taking the damn confetti shower at the end? Tim Urban? Katie Stevens? Really?!
Every season the producers seem to insist less on finding good singers and more on creating good TV.
Both Katie and Tim have great voices, so why not?
But…but they don’t!
I’ll admit that Katie has something she can work with. But Tim?

Crystal, Siobhan, Alex, and Lilly were already my top four. Not even gonna lie, they could have skipped to that for me.
I propose a new twist, like when the judges could save a contestant. In the middle of the season, have those 4 come back, give one all or nothing performance, and have the judges or even America vote for one to get back into the competition.

YES, PLEASE. My God…bless his heart and all, but I cannot believe Aaron Kelly made it in over Alex Lambert. I had just started to absolutely love him (mullet and all), and he was taken away from me!

In a heart crushing way, one of the best Idolatry’s yet. I’d really love to see the vote totals for last week. I still can’t believe Paige aka Crap Singer made it. Grrrr.
Lilly Scott blew it by singing “Fall to Pieces”. The people who like country compared her unfavorably to Patsy Cline and the people who don’t like country don’t like hearing a country song, especially when the vocal is affected and off key. I love Siobhan.

I think you’re right. I adore Lilly, even more so because we’re from the same hometown, but I will admit that I’m resistant to people covering Patsy Cline. I didn’t think it was her best, but NOt worth being sent home over! I so very much wanted Lilly, Siobhan and Crystal in the top 3!!

Sorry, but to me, Alex’s ouster is actually the joyful silver lining to the dark cloud of misery that came with Katelyn’s and Lilly’s eliminations.

I totally agree…he was really irritating. The whole point of the show was to get people who were already pretty good at performing and singing, and here we had Alex. His tone was amazing but he did not know how to use his voice or perform. the show is not supposed to teach you how to sing or perform! You are already supposed to somewhat know how to do that, and Alex didn’t.
Well, you could say that Taylor Hicks should have been a complete success with that analogy, but unless you want to see Grease in your local city it’s not exactly true. For me, AI is about finding talent and you are not going to find a voice like Alex Lambert’s everyday. Aaron Kelly…yes. Alex…no.
@Sue: Hicks was the worst part of Grease. After the show he came out and did a song off of his solo album. I felt like I was being held hostage.
that’s a stupid remark with absolutely no merit! Don’t you recall how absolutely horrible Carrie Underwood” stage presence was when she was on season 5?? Look at that turned out. Anyone can learn to get more comfortable on stage after time. But your voice really doesn’t get better after time
The point of the show is to find undiscovered talent, talent that probably would not be discovered without the show. They don’t need to be polished already. The whole point of the show is to find people who wouldn’t necessarily get signed without it.
