It amazes me the connection to Alex. While it was a sad moment on television to see someone’s dreams crushed. I could never vote for someone just because they were improving each week. I did not care for his singing ability at all. People can have preferences.
I was sad/stunned to see Alex and Lilly go. (not so much for the other two) Part of me wonders if Alex will get a little help from one or more of the judges because they liked him so much and want to see him succeed. Sometimes I wonder if contestants aren’t better off getting booted so that they can go their own way. Here’s to hoping for that for Alex and Lilly!
America only cares about looks NOT Talent. Tim should not be in the show.He is in it because of his looks until he smiles ans his teeth are all over the place. Alex has more talent, way more. America, you have spoken, looks not talent are more important.
alex, lily, and even katelyn should have stayed. they all were so unique and shoulve been given another shot. katie, aaron, and paige shouldve been sent home. im so disappointed with the results, america definitely got it wrong

My heart broke watching Alex, and then to have to sing omg! The only one of those 4 that I thought should be gone was Toddrick. I admit I was watching Dial Idol. Alex and Katelyn looked pretty safe but I did notice that there numbers were unusually “busy” is it possible to block by keeping the line busy????? Obviously, texting isn’t taken into account too!!!! Lilly also has too much potential to go. I don’t know how some of the left behind idols are going to endure. Can we get a redo or recount-just the calls maybe.
I personally thought Lily was overrated from the beginning. I am sad to see so many of the unique talents go because while Lily’s music stylings was not my cup of tea, I will certainly get bored listening to one ‘singer-songwriter’ after another sit on a stool and sing quietly. I loved Alex Lambert and was really rooting for him. I think I am done with this season, it’s just not particulary entertaining.
I’m at least heartened that most people are feeling it for Alex and Lily because other wise I’d have lost all faith in the taste of the american people. I’m just sick that those two talents will not be singing next week, I was so looking forward to what they might do next.

Alex Lambert had such a unique voice! Loved listening to him sing. I can’t believe he got voted off for whatstheirnames on the show.

Okay, the judges constantly remind the viewers that this is “a singing competition.” So why do so many singers who have Pitch problems, or can’t sing on key stay? Why do REAL singers like Alex get booted off? I think the judges really must take some credit for the devestation to Alex, and American Idol. They constantly support their favorites, regardless of ability to SING. Yes, Alex was nervous. But the kid can sing better than most of the people on this season. I want to see him Wed on Ellen, and hope someone gets him into a studio soon!

This year sucks. Hopefully Alex realizes that he’s got talent and
won’t give up. Stop hating on Fantasia. She’s the next Patti LaBelle. How could anyone seriously think she can’t sing?

we gotta keep what little talent we do have this season by voting for the best.NOT THE WORST TALENT. wake up teeny boppers, by letting the real fans with music knowledge pick the best. good looks, smiles & off key singing does not sell that much.
anyone who is voting to keep Tim in, is an idiot. he has no real talent & should not even have been in the top 12. for this show is supposed to be about the best talent of the season. not the smile or good looks. so teeny boppers out there, i have a suggestion … just vote for your Tim guy to sing “The Potty Dance” & i bet , just by your small minds as to talent… that he will win the AI title. all thanks to you, for still keeping him in the running. so would you really be proud of that?
