George says the original versions of Episodes 4, 5, and 6 were “not finished”. I paid a LOT of money to watch those “not finished” (remember, his words, not mine) films, so how does he not owe me at least a partial refund?

I loved ROTJ. Great movie. I would have like to have seen wookies instead of ewoks. The prequel trilogy,,,what can I say that is good about it? Um, the Anakin Obi Wan fight was awesome. Thats about it. Indy has been ruined. Indy 4 was one of the worst films I have ever seen. Mr Lucas. Please, just retire.

bottom line: people are viewing the originals through rose-colored glasses. seeing movies through the innocence of childhood can’t compare to seeing them through the jadedness of adulthood.

there are just as many things to be critical of in the originals as there are in the prequels, but they get ignored because 1-nothing like SW had been seen before, 2-you got to play with all the toys.

so to anyone critical of the prequels, please grow up and stop being so ignorant.

Star Wars is the film that killed American cinema. Before it’s release in 1977 the biggest hits were well crafted dramas like The Godfather, intriguing thrillers like Jaws or character studies like Taxi Driver. Since Star Wars the big studio films have spoon fed the masses with effects and noises, and big explosions. The business part of Hollywood completed eclipsed any artistic sentiment. Now the award winners are seldom seen and the masses feel no intellectual stimulation. Star Wars is the tipping point that plunged our society into rehashing our childhoods instead of growing up and learning while we are entertained. Star Wars should have flopped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This should be a very interesting film if it’s presented in a fair unbiased manner. Personally, I love the Prequels and don’t get all the hate but no matter how you feel about the movies the dynamic between Lucas and the Star Wars fanbase is an interesting one.

I think anybody who is VS George Lucas for any reason has serious issues to work with. Probably it is time they should leave their childhood behind and grown up. Star Wars is for KIDS for god’s sake!

I like all six star wars episodes. I d rathr he didnt make more starwars if its going to be like db evolution. But id love to se another trilogy, if he didnt want to do it himself he could assign someone to do it.
