This is underwhelming. Rachelle WAS the perfect Victoria. Please tell me they don’t focus on the Jacob thing too much; we all know how this story ends.
i think its funny how people have such strong opinions and feel they can pass judgement on films like these.
I am a media student i love all films and believe that you only should be allowed to pass judgement on the actors if you could do their job (sharing opinions is ok but dont condemn every1 by ur standards). . so my question to the commentators above is – could you do this.. i doubt it! it is an art to be able to perform. the movie has come frm a book which is incredible in what it does. the producers and directors have a artistic licence to incorporate what is written and they do an amazing job. credit is due to all those involved and people remember its only a movie so why get so riled up about it. Let those who love it – Love it and get on with your lives!
For a media student, you’re pretty clueless. DO you really think people would pay the gajllions to support the celebrity/film world if we all could do what they do?
Actors are professionals. They are SUPPOSED to do the job better than the regular viewing audience.
I’m not a professional driver, but if I see a driver run a red light, drive over a bus bench, and plow into a bus, I am perfectly qualified in saying “that is NOT a very good driver.”
Summit took an incredible start (Hardwicke’s “Twilight”) to a franchise that was supposed to be BIG BIG BIG and destroyed the perfect set-up which could have led the rest of the movies into incredible success.
As a film student, you should know this: What was Chris Weitz most famous for before he destroyed NM? He took Golden Compass–which was supposed to be the next giant fantasy franchise, on the level of the Harry Potter franchise–and destroyed it. The rest of the books inthe GC series won’t be filmed now because Weitz is one of those directors who cannot interpret and direct a story, and so uses special effects as a crutch.
Of course, the producers and directors have the freedom to do what they want to with a story (as long as it isn’t forbidden in their contract). But with freedom comes responsiility, and that means they are not immune from being criticized for their disasters.
Which is what you’re reading here: criticism of Summit and its loser directors for destroying a beautiful story/franchise.
I think they’re appealing to the female legions with this trailer. Believe me, there’s enough violence for the guys who thirst a little heads rolling. Of course, I don’t know this for sure, but it was like that in the book.
I think they are too. I liked the action part of this story immensely but I’d be lying if I wasn’t engrossed in the love triangle and cheesy dialogue – and I think most readers feel the same way.
Ugh. Ugh, ugh, ugh. I hope that trailer is all I ever have to see of that movie. None of the leads can act, and they still haven’t gotten the special effects right. And why do they all seem so bored with themselves and each other when they are supposed to be passionately in love? Ugh. But what do you expect when the source material is so juvenile, and the screenwriters were clearly to afraid to deviate from the books to actually make the movies good. (And the movies were cast by people more interest in how the actors looked than whether they could actually act.)
Technically.. you didn’t HAVE to see that trailer, either. You’re the one that choose to watch it. We didn’t come to your house and force your eyes open while pressing play.
you are so right amy nobody is forcing anyone to watch eclipse or the traler go watch ironman or clash of the titans if they want actions as for me i am happy and satisfied with eclipse and everything twilight hope i speak for everyone who loves twilght and the actors .
Better to watch without the sound, makes it seem like the movie is going to be awesome. Dialog screws it up.
Sorry but I am on team Rachelle!! She was more sexy and alluring and she had a fire in her eyes that Bryce does not have. Bryce looks cute not menacing…they shouldn’t have changed actresses especially not for the movie in which the character plays a very important part!!!
I walked out on the last one. What trite, mind-numbing garbage, not to mention pathetic acting.

this trailer totally didn’t live up to my expectations. i guess i was hoping to see some favorite scenes, particularly the tent scene. the proposal scene is one of my favs too, but it looks like they’ve moved it to the meadow? what? and yeah, the volturi scene is extremely boring, why are they all just standing around? and i’m pretty over victoria flying through the air, we got it. i guess if they’re going to play up the fear factor, it shouldn’t be a repeat from previous movies, the newborns will create a much newer feel in my opinion. and will rpattz PLEASE get over his constipation and show some emotion? taylor lautner is definitely the best part of this trailer, shirt on or off. i have high hopes for the movie still and love the fact that they use so many lines straight from the book, but i think they can do much more with these trailers.
rprttz is portraying a vampire, you know a stiff, a dead man, which means his emotions are minimal. Taylor’s role is too much acting not a natural feel to it, as if he tries too hard, didn’t the directors see this? Trailers are teasers if they give too much then why go see the movies. I think we’ve forgotten that kristen’s acting leaves a lot to be desired, she mumbles so much I had to turn on the close caption to read what she was saying in the first and second movie. But all in all I still love the movies and thoroughly enjoyed the books.
Susan, re-watch Twilight. RP was miles better in that film.
Weitz destroyed the Golden Compass franchise, and he may have destroyed the Twilight franchise as well.
I agree with the awesome people who love Twilight, the trailer and the actors. The rest of u Twilight haters can go crawl back under the rock u came from. You obviously don’t know a good movie when u see one…even if it crept behind u and bit u on the neck…no pun intended. Robsessed Fan!

Can some enlighten me on why should I see this TALKY movie on IMAX? No, seriously, terrible job Summit. Repeats of the same love/choose line by three different people and shots of threes do not scream “Worthy of IMAX price”.Not at all. It screams “Rental”.
Bring Rachelle back. She looked better as the “wild” vampire and Rachelle’s hair was better too. BDH hair LOOKS fake. Time will tell if BDH can pull off the acting. Can’t wait to see it!
