Thanks, Adam for explaining the whole Big Mike performance. I could not get it over the tube. I miss Smirkelstiltskin, but I’m glad you put him away this particular time with Kara. I’m sure she’ll give him more opportunity to come back.
I would like you to ask Kara and Simon why they think it is so amusing to cuddle up all the time. The show is about the kids, not about them. I am tired of both of them but especially Kara. And Ellen may know more about music than we realized…but she is not a bonus to the show. Three judges is ENOUGH – actually with the propensity Kara has to blather on and on, TWO would be enough.
I ‘ve been saying it all along. NO ONE COMPARES to David Archuleta, last season, this season and the seasons before 7. The writer has it RIGHT! Don’t be shy! It’s true. David Archuleta has ruined American Idol for all who go after him… Great article Popwatch!
So Kara was hormonal ! I am an older woman (love you Slezak and your mom) who believes one should behave with a little class, esp. on TV for goodness sake.( I did 6 years on the TV screen and not once did I rub on a man (or woman for that matter)
No wonder Ellen is acting a little confused. She’s probably thinking this is the biggest mistake she ever made-I sure hope it won’t hurt her image as a great entertainer who really does care about people and doesn’t need to sit in someone’s lap to show it-Ellen is classy! Kara shouldn’t be allowed in the same room. What was with all the rubbing and hugging with Simon? Again, rude and NOT classy.
I really dont know why kara lean on simon so much, and in previous season she wont even do that, it is really fake and phoney to do it like that, i dont like it.
Sure. Ellen will get more comfortable with the rest of the judges after time. She`s still the new kid on the block. I think she`s doing great. Doesn`t surprise me Ellen and Portia hang with Ryan during commercial breaks because they`re good friends in real life.
I thought Mike’s performance was pretty good, wasn’t a favorite for me like his song the previous week. He’ll definitely stick around for a while. This year is pretty thin, imo pretty much sucks other than Bowersox and a couple of others.
Was surprised Katie stayed and Lily left. I’m not all that interested in any of them, though. Haven’t ever voted on the show other than Season 7 when I cast, oh, maybe a thousand votes for Archuleta all told.
I like Ellen a lot, but alas, she’s worthless as an Idol judge. She liked it or she didn’t; they looked good or they didn’t. That’s about the extent of her commentary. Kara isn’t a whole lot better. I really miss Paula who got a lot of flack she didn’t deserve. I DVR the show and listen briefly to the song (if I like it enough to listen through the whole song this year, it’s noteworthy), fast-forward to at least part of Randy’s reaction, then fast-forward to what Simon has to say. That pretty much says it all.
I hate all you people that are dissing Kara, why dont you show her a little respect. I love Kara so much as a judge, singer and songwriter. I think that her tears were genuine and real and came from deep in her heart. I think that the song hit her so hard emotionally because she cant have a child. Be patient Kara it’ll happen.
I love american idol. And I am so glad you saved Big Mike. Because my sister is a big fan of Big Mike she is only 3. We let her stay up till 9 and i stay up untill it is over. I tell her in the morning. She had to grab her teady bear. On wenday. It is going to be a dister when simon leaves. My sister is a big fan of simon. When I am older I am going to be on american idol. Ellen is doing a good job. She is so funny.
That was hands down the most amazing Idol performance I’ve seen from any of the guys so far.

I am sick of Kara’s comments referring to Ellen…”I agree with the guys” grow up Kara..get some class….the show is not about you…..
i know the feeling, i cried too, he is sooooo good. Later, he even made shania twain cry when he sang one of her songs. I’m so mad they voted him off.
