I FEEL AS IF I JUST LOST A CHILDHOOD FRIEND. HE WILL BE MISSED

After his fine movies in his younger years, it is sad to see what became of him. For me his best movies were “Silver Bullet” (great chemistry with Gary Busey and Megan Follows), “Lucas” (equally great chem with Charlie Sheen), and “Lost Boys”. I always thought his association with Feldman was an unfortunate detour.

I wish the police treated these deaths like a homicide – seeking the last known person to supply the drugs. We have to start somewhere and since we’re not doing much in irradicating the illegal drugs “industry”, maybe we start with the small fry – last known person to see the victim alive!

I had such a HUGE crush on Haim when I was younger and still followed his career to this day. I was so shocked to hear he passed away…i loved all his movies. It is very sad when someone you grew up watching and crushing on passes away.

I just watched the Lost Boy’s last week and Silver Bullet before that.. He really was one of my favorites. Rest in Peace Cory.

What a promising actor- he was so great in Lucus and The Lost Boys. But from what I’ve heard, his mother was inattentive, let him drop out of middle school, and basically ignored the fact that he was doing drugs at such a young age. I heard he and Feldman weren’t speaking to each other.

I adored Haim back in the day. I had all his movies, crushed on him like no one’s business :) He was a big piece of my childhood back in junior high and I did occasionally check to see what he was up to, especially as the Two Corey’s came about. He’ll be missed.

i think hollywood wasn’t to fair to him , he did alot of movies and has many fans all over the world. I guess when hollywood thinks your not worth it anymore , it makes you do things to lead you to this point. hollywood should be ashamed, for doing this to corey haim. he will be missed for sure!

It’s a funny thing, today my daughter picked out “The Lost Boys” to watch while out of school. I said okay, then proceeded to tell her that I had a crush on Corey ever since I was a tween. Then my husband calls me an hour after the movie starts to tell me the news. I am crushed and saddened for all of his fans. I wish he had gone down the right path when given the chances. May you finally rest in peace, my love.

I met Corey Haim a few years ago. Had a great conversation with him over a couple of hours.. He had just moved to his Aunts to get him away from the drug scene in TO.. Rest in peace Corey, the pain is over, may God keep you safe..

my generation did not recognize the two corey’s as “heart throbs” but i DO remember seeing a VH1 special about “lost young stars” and there they were. partying, having the time of their life. the soecial went on to comment about their drug abuse and all i could think was, “how sad.” its always stuck with me
