Could they please just make Ryan Reynolds The Flash already? Though I think Chris Evans would handle “The Flash” nicely as well…

How many super heroes do you want Ryan to be? He’s already Deadpool and the Green Lantern. I agree though that Ryan would be perfect for any super hero! Ryan is the freakn man!

He’s also already been Hannibal King, and I suppose could be again now that another Blade movie(s) is being considered.

Whilst It’s ok for him to be Deadpool and Hannibal King as they are Marvel characters who exist in totally different (universes) studios, He can’t be Green Lantern and The Flash as they are in the same DC Movieverse. All the more so now that Warners have “ripped off” Marvel’s Movieverse blueprint of putting characters in stand-alone movies, Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Thor, Capt. America, Nick Fury, but linking them all, mainly through Samuel L Jackson’s Fury, in the run up to The Ultimate Avengers movie of 2012. Although it may be a surreal “The Nines” experience seeing Reynolds in a Justice League movie playing two different heroes!

  • WTF

John Krasinki? I could see him doing The Greatest American Hero, but not Captain America.

I love John Krasinski, but that is funny!

Jensen Ackles. He looks the part AND can act. Plus, according to imdb.com Starmeter, he’s due for having a big smash hit at the boxoffice.

  • Amy

    Kellan Lutz

  • Rebecca

    NATHAN FILLION!!!

    • Catherine

I can see it! However, I think Nathan Fillion would have been a better Batman than Captain America. ( particularly if they would make Batman like the 60′s TV show)

      • therealeverton

        They did,
It was called Batman & Robin.
        It was terrible.

Fillion has to be too old, but yes I do like him, especially in Serenity.

    JENSEN ACKLES!!!

  • Heather

Duh Chris Pine would be PERFECT!

  • Mike

Why are they casting such young people?

    • Dawn

Probably because Marvel wants a commitment for nine possible movies from whoever is chosen.

      • Ashley

yeah but look at robert downey junior as iron man and ed norton as hulk. if this is all leading to an avengers movie team up i would think theyd cast captain america in their age range too or at least in this thirties? i think captain america should be older than these guy they’re talking about casting.

    • Morley

Because Captain America IS young. This movie starts off with his beginnings and Captain America started off as a very young man(early 20′s? maybe even 19). So they need someone who can play him from the start as well as move with him to a slightly older age.

I still say that’s Jensen Ackles. Ackles just turned 32 but can easily pass for 24 or 25 if he has to. He brings that to his acting, the ability to transform his appearance just by the mood he projects. As “weight of the world on his shoulders” Dean Winchester – he looks his age, maybe even older sometimes. When he isn’t playing such a “stressed out” role, though, he easily can pass for 5 or 6 years younger than his real age.

That dude that plays Snooki’s brother on Blood and Truth.

  • Lyndsey

    Jensen Ackles.

  • TFord

Chris Evans, all the way. He MADE the F4 movies, was incredible in Danny Boyle’s Sunshine. He can perform well, but has been in many movies that have suffered from directors generally not knowing how to use him to best advantage, for whatever reason. He has a strong silent presence (see Sunshine) that would serve him very well as CA.

  • Paul

My vote would be for Jensen Ackles, but I think Chris Evans is a decent choice. I’m trying to keep in mind that casting for these franchises always receives mixed reception (Keaton, Bale, Downey, all of the X-men) and then sometimes favorably works out. I have faith in Marvel not to screw this up.

Did anyone not think that Robert Downey Jr. was perfect for Tony Stark? I mean he basically is Tony Stark.

What happened to Ryan McPartlin “Capt. Awesome”? I thought his people were actively pursuing the role for him and now he’s just out of the running? — he would have been perfect for the role. Forget these three chumps listed. McPartlin has the look and can actually act.

  • marcy

I have to go with Awesome too. He just looks so All-American.

  • Dan

Ryan McPartlin, definitely. Captain Awesome would be a perfect Cpatain America.
