I think it was around 1998 when we last saw a new episode of Gossip Girl…or at least it feels like it was that long ago. But the bitches are finally back!!! Tonight my fave teen soap returns for 10 all new episodes and no repeats. From the looks of the promos, we’re gonna see some exciting development on the Serena/Nate front. Plus, there’s the whole Is-Chuck’s-Mom-Really-Dead situation. I am fairly certain that I’m on record in some old TV Watch (from the episode in which Chuck and Dan are arrested) as saying that I thought Chuck’s mom was still alive and kicking somewhere. And then, of course, we’ll have some Jenny drama which is always good for some laughs, both intentional and unintentional. Be sure and check back tomorrow morning for my recap of tonight’s GG return!
Are you excited about tonight’s Gossip Girl, PopWatchers? What are you hoping to see?
While I’m looking forward to Nate and Serena, I kind of wish it were a sister of Chuck’s mom instead. And, much as I love to see Billy Baldwin back on television, I feel like this Lily/Serena’s Dad thing is just an unnecessary wrench in Lily and Rufus’ marriage, which is the one part of the show I like better drama-free.

what’s driving me nuts about this show is the lack of sex scenes. what self-respecting soap NEVER shows their most popular couple (chuck & blair) in bed?
i’m totally serious about this, i think it’s a legitimate problem with the show. those two have amazing sexual chemistry and it’s never EVER taken advantage of

Oh i will be watching. Leighton and Ed have really become the only reason worth watching anymore, as the rest have become increasingly irritating. But still, i remain a loyal viewer.
P.S. Does anyone else want Taylor Momsen booted off this show?! Homegirl needs a reality check.
With you on the Taylor Momsen thing. I’m amazed she’s stuck around this long. Either she’s being doe-eyed innocent or raccoon-eyed bad girl, and frankly I’m sick of both!
So excited to have some Nate/Serena action. There has yet to be a sex scene as hot as the very first one of the series. If we could revisit the bar it would be even hotter!

gossip girl was unbelievable tonight. i think every girl has a little serena in them, and a little jenny, and a little blair.. at least i do. these ladies are HUGE inspirations in my work! so glad they’re back
