I have to say that I was disappointed that John Park was voted off because I expected more from him and his vocals weren’t there. I am predicting that Tim Urban will make the Top 12. He will make it on the Sanjaya factor rather than actual vocal talent. Unfortunately that will mean that a better singer will go home.
I so wish John had stayed. I know he was kinda boring last week and this, but he has a terrific voice, if only he knew what to do with it. Oh well . . .
Eh close enough. Although the people defending Lacey as having potential on this thread need serious help. I’m fine with her staying this week, but if she makes it one more week over a more talented contestant it’s going to be a huge problem.
I don’t need serious help. I don’t think Lacey is the best in the competition–but she did better than the two who went home. She has a cool voice. It is not a big voice–but it’s got an interesting and unique quality. I think if she would pick the might song–she may make top 12.
Poor Michelle. She’s the only one i felt sorry for tonight.That chick had potential to be a diva/R&B type artist. What was she thinking singing Creed???

Danny? Wallet Chains are the new glasses for Danny. Wonder how many he has. I tried to watch and be positive but the outfit was horrid, the song was message-central, the out reached hands, and then he started speaking – and never stop.

i was not a big fan and his pledge to ellen made me cringe, BUT– what is wrong with message centered songs? isn’t his positive message better than the one we get in most current music?
good point – I should have said “anvil-heavy” song. Positive messages are always needed.

While I have no doubt that there is plenty of racism in America, I do question those who keep implying that American Idol is racist against it’s minority contestants. If that truly were the case how do you explain Fantasia Burrino, Ruben, Jordan Sparks, Jennifer Hudson, Tamyra Gray, Alison Iraheta and several others?! Seriously, let’s stick to picking apart the bad singing.

The judges should be ashamed of themselves….Haeley never should have made it to Hollywood, let alone the top 24. Poor kid, so far out of her league.
Yep, the right people were definitely sent home. Next week better include Todrick, Tim and Lacey.
I didn’t think it possible, but Danny Gokey got even more annoying. Even Ryan looked like he wanted to smack those glasses right off bis face. My only ccmplaint with the elimination is I have to endure yet another week of Lacey and her shiney cheeks making me wish AI was a mime competition.
Im in full agreement with the leaving of Haeley and Jermaine but i dont like how Michelle got sent home, she had potential. and as for John, I must admit that he has bombed the last two weeks and it hurts me to say that cuz i was really big fan of his from the start. Tim Urban is NOT a good singer. although John screwed up, i would’ve liked to see at least one more week of him and send that useless pretty boy Tim home.
