Prepare for a new three-hour tour. A three-hour tour. Warner Bros. Read
the full post.
Michael Cera — Gilligan
Kevin James — Skipper
Jerry Stiller and Betty White — The Howells
Paul Rudd – The Professor
and since we are dreaming…
Megan Fox as Mary Anne — HA!
I’ve never seen “Mad Men”,
but Christina Hendricks looks perfect.
I’d hope her acting is just as impressive
(We don’t want another Judith Baldwin,
who tragically took over the role
in the “Rescue…” movies. ICCHH!!).
I can’t imagine a better choice for Gilligan than
For The Skipper, I suggest Richard Riehle
(Walt on TV’s “Grpunded For Life” & he was recently in Rob Zombie’s “Halloween II”.
For The Howells, how about Dan Aykroyd
& Gena Rowlands?
Simon Baker (“The Mentalist”)
might be good as The Professor
& I think Anna Friel
(Charlotte Charles on “Pushing Daisies”)
would work nicely as Mary Ann.
David Spade – Gilligan
Jon Lovitz – The Skipper
Tim Meadows – Mr. Howell
Wendie Malick (Just shoot me) – LovE
Dana Carvey – The Professor
Kate Hudson – Maryann
Cameron Diaz – Ginger
Chris Rock – cameo
zach galifianakis – skipper
micheal cera – gilligan
steve carell- mr. howell
jennifer coolidge- mrs. howell
alice eve- ginger
emmanuelle chriqui- mary ann
matthew mcconaughey- the proffesor
The ideal cast, without a doubt should be:
Gilligan:Zack Braff (Scrubs)
Skipper:Kevin James(King of Queens)
Mary Ann:Isla Fisher
Professor:Simon Baker (Mentalist)
Mr. Howell:Michael Caine
Mrs. Howell:Julie Andrews
Gilligan- Jim Carrey
Skipper- John Goodman
Mr Howell- Kelsey Grammer
Mrs Howell- Susan Serandon
Mary Ann- Tiffany Amber Thesson
Professor- Chris Rock
Gilligan: Justin Lake-he’s a dead ringer for Bob Denver!
Skipper: John Goodman
Mr. Howell:Rogor Moore
Mrs. Howell: Judi Dench
Ginger Grant: Beyonce
Mary Anne: Katie Holmes
Professor: Peirce Brosnan or Liam Neeson-both are perfect as intellectual straight men.
I know this casting cuts the mold a little, but there really is no reason why the Howells can’t be British or the professor an Irishman. And two of my favorite episodes are the ones that had Boris Balinkoff, a mad scientist that lived on a nearby island who experimented on the castaways-Johnny Depp or Robert Downey Jr. would be perfect for that role!
I would love to see Pierce Brosman as the Professor. Not only does he look the part, but he is smoking hot!!!!!
I also hope they don’t ruin this by putting in sex or drugs-Gilligan’s Island was a wholesome
show, and it should stay that way.
I agree, it seems when they remake the old movies they put in stupid stuff like sex and drugs. I can remember as far back as when I was 4 years old watching Gilligan’s Island. I would hate for it to be a disappointment like Dukes of Hazzard. I hated what they did to that show. We don’t need all of that stupid stuff in order to make a movie entertaining.
Sandra Bullock-Mary Ann
Michael Cera as Gilligan
John Goodman as Skipper (no brainer)
Joan Rivers and Mrs. Howell
Michael Cain as Mr. Howell
Tina Fey!!!!! as Ginger
Colbert as the Professor
Beyonce as Mary Ann
Come to think of it, that guy who played Gibbs in Pirates of the Caribbean would be good as the Skipper too-although I think he’d be less of a blowhard and more acerabic
Michael Caine and Betty White as the Howells
Zach Braff from scrubs would make a good gilligan
robert de niro and blythe danner from meet the parents would be good as mr and mrs howe
Alec baldwin as the millionaire. Giovanni Ribisi or John Krasinski as the professor. Kevin James or Nick Offerman from Parks and Recreation as the skipper. Natalie Portman, Zoey Deschanel or Rachel McAdams as Mary Ann. Christina Hendrcks would be perfect as Ginger, but I heard they already cast Rose McGowan. Forget Michael Cera; Jack McBrayer would make the best Gilligan.
