I woke up with a sick feeling in my gut. Tonight’s the night that, if the rumors are correct, Jake will propose to Vienna. I can just see their life together: Him doing carpentry work shirtless in the backyard. Her wearing jewel-toned gowns while assuring her daddy that she’s still his princess. Barf. Am I giving too much credence to online gossip? Is it possible that he’ll choose the cartoon-voiced, rainbow-s—ing Tenley and live a life of wholesome goodness with lots of morals and cringe-worthy dances? Or could it be the third choice that some of those ABC promos seem to be hinting at: that he ends up choosing neither of them? Our Kristen Baldwin will be back tonight with a recap (provided that the future bachelor in her belly doesn’t decide to make an appearance today) following After The Final Rose. But if you can’t wait until then, share your thoughts. Does Tenley have a chance in heck? Could Jake and Vienna even last? Would you ever want to see that wedding on TV à la next week’s Jason and Molly nuptials?
Well if the Bachelor’s track record is any comfort, he might propose to her but they’ll be broken up in a week anyways

I’ve heard that he picks Vienna, but that after months apart (due to the contract they signed with ABC not to reveal the winner), that Jake broke up with her.

neither are ready to get married, why do these 30+ year old bachelors always pick the young girls. vienna is like 23 – immature, spoiled, etc – that’s what i would want in a spouse. tenley and jake are both sickeningly sweet and delusional about love, so they are perfect for on another. i give them 1 year.
Sue, you are saying exactly what I complain about during every season of the Bachelor! I think the older guys mistake the “immaturity” for “excitement”. Boys are dumb.
Yes, Matt Grant chose the young, immature one because of her confidence. But other Bachelors have chosen the safer girl and have also been disappointed (Aaron, Andrew Firestone). It doesn’t work to pick an abstract concept–”young and exciting” OR “mature and sensible.”
Hopefully he’s tapped both and he can walk away a winner.

I totallt agree with you Tenely was the perfect match and she said it perfectly, if he is and was so in Love with 2 women at the same time as he stated she is glad she was nto the one.. 9 chances out of 10 it will nto last and I pray to God tenely is nto there to pick up the pieces she is way to sweet of a women to deserve that…… playful {well I seem to remember her rolling down the sand dunes with Jake… sex NO not like Viennna throwing herself at him every moment she had in her slinky lingeria then the episode when she shut the doors,,, are we all stupid of course they did more then kiss… Tenely has way more morals and would have made a great wife and mother.. Way to go Tenely.. Viennna on the other hand a spoiled inmature GIRL!!!!! MOTHER knows best jake but you woulden’t listen.. You will have regrets…

Anyway, I think Jake and Vienna are meant for each other. Is that a compliment? Not sure. Vienna’s one of the more weird characters on the show, but she seems to be right for Jake (which does say something about Jake). Good luck to them.
Marriage. It’s such a sacred institution in America. We can’t allow same gender marriages, but we can have fake marriage proposals and fake relationships all in the name of a TV show.

because people argue against gay marriage saying that marriage is a sacred institution in our country – but when people fickly enter into it in the name of entertainment, that is preferred over two people in a committed relationship doing the same thing? makes no sense

He might have picked Vienna, but after everything that has come out on her, there is no way they will last. It would not surprise me if he crashes Ali’s Bachelorette show, trying to get her to add him as part of the mix.
That would probably be the smartest thing. I mean, I can’t believe that he allowed her to go in the first place. Had it been me, contract or not, I would have stopped the show and proposed to her that night. Ali is by far the best match for him. But if he doesn’t want her and wants vienna, I will sign up and take Ali or Tenley.
Where are the Ali’s and Tenley’s for guys like me that are here good guys but can’t get on the show.

If they were really interested in lasting realtionships, He’d say no to both and fly off to San Fran to swoop Ali off her feet. It’s Ali who obviously captured his heart and it unfair to Tenley and Vienna for him to act like he wasn’t upset by her departure.
Or at least fly off to SF and give her a pearl necklace!
