On Friday night, my colleague and pal Jason Adams and I watched the gold medal women’s curling match between Canada and Sweden and became completely obsessed with Team Canada’s Cheryl Bernard. First of all, Bernard, 43, appears to be ace curler (she’s been practicing the sport for 35 years!!!!). She has amazing arched eyebrows that make her look like she’s constantly on alert (You gotta be quick as a cat in curling!). She also kinda looks like she’s rockin a Bumpit (or would if she could). And she wrote a book called Between the Sheets about “the psychological aspects of the sport of curling.” Um…GENIUS. Clearly this woman knows how to make a curling book sound juicy! I believe Bernard is married but I still think we can classify her as a cougar simply based on the brows and the form-fitting uniform. As such, I would like ABC to invite her to guest star on Cougar Town. She can play Courteney Cox’s new neighbor with a yen for curling. That seems realistic right?
What do you think of Cheryl Bernard, PopWatchers? Isn’t she awesome? Or do you have another favorite curler?

I must admit I had a bit of a crush on the USA Curling skip Debbie McCormick.
As did I. There’s just something about her. Sure, the Russians, the Danes, and the 19 yr. old Brit were the bonified hotties of the curling tournament, but that Debbie McCormick… sorry, just drifted off to a happy place.
I’d say the young Swedish skip, but then I’d be a cougar. And yes, I did notice how attractive Cheryl Bernard was. I was surprised she wasn’t getting more press in the US. And she should definitely have a curling league in Florida (there are LOTS of Canadians in Florida) and play against Courtney Cox’s team.
You have got to be kidding me! She is NOT awesome. Gag! If you want someone to represent Canadian curling, my vote is for Jennifer Jones from Manitoba.
She’s not a cougar unless she is out looking for young men, otherwise she is just hot…get it right.
I completely agree regarding Cheryl Bernard. As for the others, where do you begin? Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, even the Russians – they were all wonderful to watch. And pretty good at curling too.
She has a common-law husband and two stepsons.

I agree that there is a certain hotness with Cheryl but you really must check out Carmen Schaefer on the Swiss team. She’s the one with the tongue stud.
