Everyone else on the show is terrible, and Simon is leaving next year…so voting him off sealed Idol’s fate. I will never watch it again. On the other hand, I will buy the Wailing Waters EP.
I really appreciate his honesty. he’s one of the few ousted contestants that doesn’t sugarcoat everything about how the judges are completely supportive and whatnot.
I’m glad he’s telling it like it is… and Ellen said he had no charisma? BS
Tyler was one of my top two fav boys. I thought he was a lot of fun to watch. Too bad he was sent home early. Hope to see more of him.
Tyler’s original audition was thrilling: witty, focused, great range, great variety, many shadings from just being very alive and in the moment! Don’t trade all that for a pose and a bellow. Amazing talent! More!
I honestly felt Tyler was one of the performers the judtes were too harsh on, while letting others slide by. I absolutely thought they were unfair in the “how” of their critiques – he did what they voted him thru to do. I also never got a sense of fakeness from him, either.
Well, yeah I do agree that younger music fans didn’t support Tyler, since The Doors and classic rock is their grandparents’ music.
Also agree that the judging was to harsh, but then what really matters is the votes.
He don’t have any potential to be a star like the rest of the top 24 this year.Yes, some one will win, will get a record deal and that’s all.
I liked Tyler’s voice, and if I heard his music without seeing him, I would be impressed. In 1970, I was 20 and my youngest sister was 12. She would have loved Tyler. I just couldn’t connect.
Am I the only who couldn’t stand this guy? Maybe it was the bad hair or the attitude but I just wanted to reach into the TV and slap him.
Tyler’s vocals weren’t horrible but he literally is a poser — he would strike these cliched “rock star” poses and it all just looked really fake. Maybe a 70′s cover band would suit him better?
Tyler was robbed. I think he was one of the best guys, if not the best, last Wednesday night. I guess the judges wanted to throw him under the bus.
good luck, tyler. i voted for you a lot and i think the judges threw you under the bus. you will go far. i will miss you.
Loved this guy. I found him vastly entertaining. Was so bummed when he was voted off. Stupid manipulative judges. This show will be so boring now.
