Love you Johnny Weir! I aspire to be as good a parent as your Mother. I try every day to accept my son for who he is, and let him be. It is hard.
He couldn’t have had a better response.
This is amazing and makes me so proud and glad that he addressed this so intelligently.
Bravo Johnny!
Wow, Adam Lambert’s lost a lot of weight.
So stupid.
No, I totally see the relevance…
He is just beyond perfection.
He’s so smart, down to earth, mature, nice, genuine and talented.
I admire him even more for what he just said in this conference. I wish he would have won a medal, he really deserved it!
Best of luck for him at the World Championships and I hope he have the luck to see more of his skating for a lot of time.
JOHNNY WEIR FOR HOSTING SNL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the good news is……….no one watches RDS anyway.
As a Canadian and a Quebecer, I was so upset by the comments those two “broadcasters” made. Johnny Weir’s introspective, articulate rebuttal was so wonderful to hear. I have nothing but the most profound respect for him and his wonderful family, and I wish them well in the future. And I hope those two gentlemen really do take his advice and think before they open their traps. Guys, what if it was one of your kids or grandkids that someone was making fun of? Would you be laughing then?
Good for him for not making it about himself. A very classy and articulate response.
Good for him!
The more I find out about him, the more I love him. Bravo, sir. It’s wretched that he was placed in the situation, but he handled it outstandingly.
Alain Goldberg is the reason I don’t watch figure skating on the French channel here in Canada. He’s so annoying it makes you hate the sport!
That was classy and handled so well, just like Evan’s response to the negative comments from the Russians about his gold-medal performance. Wow, I love to see us Americans not being the loud world idiots but instead handling things gracefully and thoughtfully! Bravo!
First Evan and now Johnny… medal, schmedal – these boys have CLASS.
