'Survivor' evictee to Sandra: 'Don't undo my bra, bitch!'

A Hero has fallen, ladies and gentlemen. Slain not by a villain, nor by a Dragon Slayer, but by her own inability to assimilate into her merry band of fellow Heroes. I speak, of course, of Jessica “Sugar” Kiper, who was the first contestant voted out of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains. She may be gone, but she’s not forgotten, giving us indelible images to last a lifetime: the tears, the rabid nighttime pursuit of Colby, the…. Hmmm, there’s something else. I just can’t quite remember. What was that other indelible image? Oh, right. Flipping people off while topless! Sugar called EW.com this morning to talk all about her Samoan misadventures.

You promised me you weren’t going to cry this time. What happened?
A promise is a promise and I’m sorry but I cannot help my emotion.

It felt like old times!
Wouldn’t you cry if you were about to have your head cut off?

Let’s talk about your big topless scene. First off, was Sandra trying to undo your bra or did it just come undone in the, ahem, heat of the moment?
Unless we were making love, no. She totally undid it, and I literally said, “Don’t undo my bra, bitch!” I remember thinking, she thinks I’m going to put my bra back on and that she’s got me and just has to worry about them. So I was like, roll out of it, grab the bag and make the point. So that’s what I did because I wanted to prove that I was trying to win this time — that I was going to do my damndest in the challenges to prove myself. I thought that would work.

Who exactly were you flipping off? Sandra? All the Villains? Jeff Probst?
I was looking at everybody. It was supposed to be toward Sandra, but I was kinda shooting everybody off. [Laughs] Yeah, I was totally flipping off Jeff. He knows it and he knows why.

So the situation with Colby: They really made you out to be a stalker in that scene.
They want to make me look like Jerri No. 2. That’s fine with me. Yeah, that was like five seconds out of three days that I was there. That’s cool. I don’t mind my edit.

What was going on with the puzzle in the immunity challenge? All four of you were in there, and it looked like chaos. Who was supposed to be leading that?
Nobody was speaking up at all. The two lines they got out of me, I don’t even know how they pulled that out because most of the time I was searching the bag and the ground and trying to find the puzzle piece we must have dropped. It was totally not that close at all. They were miles ahead of us at the puzzle part.

When I visited you guys at your camp I remember thinking to myself that you didn’t seem to be jelling and fitting in with the others so well. You definitely appeared to be a bit of an outsider in that group. Did you feel that way?
Yeah, of course I did. I felt like an outsider from the beginning. I was DOA. I was like “How the hell am I going to do this?” I was shaking in my boots from the beginning. You know, someone has to be the first out and I figured I might be that person, because after a minute out there I decided I do not want to be out there. It was pretty awful. Every 20 minutes, raining. I already thought I had lost my mind on day three so if I had been out there any longer, I would have hated it.

And yet at Tribal Council, you still thought the play was Amanda and that you were probably going to be safe.
Yeah, you’re right, because they don’t show everybody lying to me. I did think there was a chance that I might be staying for at least another round. But when Stephenie looks at me and says about “the weakest player” and winks, I was like “Oh, I guess I should put my shoes on.”

You made it all the way to the end in Gabon, and were pretty much DOA from the start in Heroes vs. Villains. So what if they came to you and asked you to come back for a third time? What do you say?
Uhhhhh, no. You gonna pay me a lot more or give me a little bonus? I think my Survivor career is over.

    • Daniel

Hey, does anybody know if it is possible to save these Survivor videos to disk?

    • Kiara

I am very happy she is gone! I am sure they edited the hell outta her on that night she supposely “stalked” Colby but it still was kinda creepy to watch. She is like a fly on the wall, totally useless and very annoying!

    • go stephanie….

nooooooooooo, …. as in , … i cant open the pen?

      • david ellen

        stephanie is gone next

  • t.t

good riddance to her survivor career being over she was ok in gabon but did not deserve to be back again she’s not an all star. not a good strategist

    • Lee

I didn’t even think she was good in Gabon. She got lucky finding the HII, and riding the coattails of both Ace and Kenny, who she turned on for no good reason at all. And then she takes Bob with her to the end, knowing that she has no chance to beat him. I mean, even Susie beat her. Let’s face it–she was only on the show as a wannabe Hollywood star, not as a strategic winner. I wil not miss her.

  • UGH

    Nice cans.

  • orville

If you can’t get a crew in to film Survivor Talk, could you at least do it asa podcast instead? I’m really going to miss Survivor Talk.

    • Carol

      I love the podcast idea!

      • peter 5

I did not realize how much I miss survivor talk until just now. Dalton – I will come to your office with my flip video and be your crew each Friday. We need to keep it alive.

      • D

In this day and age there is NO EXCUSE not to have at least audio for this. Dalton fail.

    • japanagogo

I agree. I need me some Survivor Talk. And seriously, Survivor is so big that it’s a shame not to do some kind of video/audio presentation. Make it happen, Dalton!

  • jem

Great interview! I still miss Survivor Talk though…:( A podcast would make me soooo happy!

Jeff Probst’s hunch on who’s next? Wasn’t he there?

    • orville

He was filmed directly after the first tribal council.

    • Kiara

I think Jeff is wrong. I don’t see the villians losing much. All the heros have on thier side that is very physical is James. Ok maybe Colby, well maybe not, didn’t Coach out do him on that challenge? LOL!

      • Cheese

Yeah because it’s not like JT, Tom, Amanda and Steph are on the Heroes tribe. Fortunately, they have bad teamwork so VILLAINS FTW

  • jmartcougar

Poor sugar im sure it would have been intimidating for her to play with so many all stars but it was fun while it lasted

  • matt

Sugar is my kind of girl. Sad to see her survivor career is over. What the hell is wrong with you Colby!

  • harry

    She sound pissed!!!

  • bigtoe

Why did they even choose her, was the Boy Scout lady not available!

She was the least desrving to be there, glad to see her go.

    • Kiara

Too bad Richard Hatch couldn’t make it due to house arrest, he would have been a very bad villian. I mean he would have been a villian, right? Boston Rob still hasn’t lost the touch, loved how he got the fire started, and the look on that one dude’s face was brilliant. Don’t under estimate Boston Rob, he hasn’t forgotten anything and he is very smart! Rob FTW!

  • terry

Interesting comment “you gonna pay me a lot more”. So exactly how much do they get paid. If Dalton weren’t such a tool and was an actual, um , journalist, that should have been a question he should have jumped on. And if he already knows, how about sharing that, as I think most of us would like to know that and y’know, we come to this site to be informed.

    • Ember

I know in the early seasons, players “won” money, based on how long they stayed in the game. The second place person got $100,000, and it scaled down from there to the first person kicked off.

    • rhett

Prizes go something like this: winner, million
      2nd, 100K
      3rd, 90K
      4th, 80K
      5th, 70K
      6th, 60K
      7th, 50K
      8th, 40K
      9th, 30K
      10th, 20K
      11th, 10K
      12th, 5K
      13th, 4K
      14th, 3K
      15th, 2K
      16th, 1K
If there are more than 16 players then it goes 10K, 9K, 8K, 7K etc etc

  • Sasha

She is so annoying. She was annoying on Gilmore Girls as Jesse’s girlfriend and she’s even more annoying now as herself. Glad she got cut first. Now maybe I’ll never have to see her again.

  • max

Be gone sugar Tramp! Glad she didn’t stick around long enough to make the jury. I have no idea why sugar is even on the show, let alone on the heroes’ side. Sugar got voted out first like she should have been on Gabon. No Kenny and Crystal to protect her now. Sugar is a backstabbing closet racist. After being protected by Ken & Crystal until almost the end, she decides to vote them and also wanted to vote for Susie but she won immunity. Should have brought back Yul and Kelly Wiglesworth!

  • Bob

It’s a huge mistake to not have Survivor Talk this season. The bosses must not know how popular it is (was?). CBS should have paid for it if nothing else. It added much to the coverage.

    • terry

I thought Survivor Talk was…okay. It would have been better if we didn’t have to watch the horrible comedy bits(and this from a site that goes out of its way to slam Leno for being unfunny). I know why that other guy quit doing it, the comedy was some of the stupidest lame, obvious bits I’ve seen from “professionals” It was painful to watch.

  • kaye

so sad no Survivor Talk! I really looked forward to that.
