What book on pop culture did you buy but not read (yet)?

It occurred to me today as I read a glowing review of Susannah Gora’s You Couldn’t Ignore Me If You Tried: The Brat Pack, John Hughes, Read the full post.

Waiting to read “If Chins Could Kill by Bruce Campbell”.

Pretty much anything I buy. I have found that with so many distractions (one humongous DVR drawback is that now there’s always something to watch on TV) and so little time, getting books from the library and having a deadline to return them forces me to actually finish them. Then again, I can’t finish the ones I bought because I’m always getting other books from the library that I have to finish on a deadline. That said, I got The Lost City of Z from the library and I’m not getting into it.

Do books that became movies really count as books on pop culture? If they do, then Ordinary People is #1.

But I have read that, so that doesn’t really count.

I am in the middle of J. Wood’s “Living Lost: Why We’re All Stuck on the Island” so that’s a good sign of progress!

I Like You: Hospitality Under The Influence by Amy Sedaris is so enjoyable and fun to read. I wish she would write more. She keeps things very visual and is so informative and an absolute riot. I love her!! I actually think Dan Brown is anti-christ marmalade and why buy books anyway if you are not going to read them. I have read her book at least ten times.
