Yes it is indeed about time!!! Why they didn’t do this a long ass time ago? I have no idea! But it is here now! Back to the ole stompin grounds of true sonic games! Hopefully there wont be any of those other crappy characters they invented. Seriously i dont mind if tails is in there cause hey its original! and i would just probly select a sonic only campaign. But seriously Sonic Team….I hope you didnt put any of those crappy sonic characters in it.. Welcome Back Sonic!!
This may seem a stupid question, but is Dr. Eggman, Dr. Robotnik?
As far as I’m aware, Robotnik will still be called Eggman. With all due respect to Japanese gamers, “Eggman” is a rubbish name for a villain. “Robotnik” sounds much better.
Activision should totally develop a new series of Zork graphical adventures.
The last interesting Sonic title was Sonic Blast for the Genesis and Saturn platforms.
Yep, Dr. Eggman is Dr. Robotnik. Who knows why they started calling him Dr. Eggman in North America in the later games. Easier conversion from the Japanese version, maybe? Robotnik just sounds more bad-ass.
After 16 years of 3D rubbish, finally we get a proper Sonic game.
I sooooo remember staying up all night to play (and beat! all by myself– tho my boyfriend at the time did offer to help) Sonic 3. Pure Joy. Too excited for words about this update.
I’m sorry, but I’m not too thrilled about this…If I wanted to experience Sonic at “his greatest”, I’d play Sonic Advance 2&3, but even after playing those for about 10 minutes, it got boring. Advance Sonic games had always been heck of a lot better than the genesis ones IMHO.
Everyone has his/her own opinion but you should seriously take a look abck at those games because they were/are sonic at his greatest! the sonic advance series was what kept sonic alive so those games are definitly as important as the gens. Without advance and a consloe of his own sonic would have faded and lost to mario!
this is gona be sonics redemption game, it also is bein made by Dimps the geniuses behing the sonic rush game and the failure (but still fun as hell) sonic unleashed wii and ps2. GOOD LUK DIMPS!
I honestly, think they should make the game fully 2-d. not a 3-D side scroller. i have seen the animations and they dont look good. Genesis era sonic to me means, 2D, circle running feet, and super bad@$$ music. not choppy 3D retard running, as that what it looks like.
I read in gameinformer that the game designers are gonna make the game have 2d graphics but in the screen shots its 3d.
