Image Credit: Albert L. Ortega/PR PhotosJosh Schwartz will continue his quest for total televisual dominance with CBS’ recent pick-up of his half-hour comedy pilot Hitched. He cowrote the script — about a “twentysomething newlywed couple who is still learning about each other, according to The Hollywood Reporter — with Chuck exec producer Matt Miller. Sounds like it could be a solid How I Met Your Mother companion (you know, with the mother already having been met in this case) — not to mention that Chuck really is quite funny (and even Gossip Girl and The O.C. have strong humor elements).
What do you think, PopWatchers? Are you excited for another Josh Schwartz show?

Can Josh Schwartz bring ‘Gossip Girl’ pizazz to the lawyer dramedy genre?

People have been seeing the future since literally the first moment of Heroes. The trick doesn’t really work as drama anymore, but not because it’s a bad trick. The problem is that none of the really bad stuff ever comes true. Apocalypse is always averted. I’m not sure if Peter’s “Sylar rescues Emma from causing mass murder with her violin” dream actually counts as another apocalypse vision, but whatever it is, I bet you a billion bucks it’s not going to happen.
Two weeks ago, we got the best episode in years. Last week, we got 24. This week, well… I wish it had been one of those other two. “Remorse” fell flat, pushing its patient story a little too hard while relying on Foreteen “drama” and Cuddy tension to carry the serial parts of the story. Talk about playing to your weaknesses.
Talk about back with a vengeance: Last night’s Damages was the show in a nutshell. Shocking twists! Crazy subtext! Almost too-much time-jumping! And oh so very much mystery. Serious spoilers below.
