When I heard that Justin Timberlake turns 29 today, I panicked. I totally forgot to buy him something! But what does a person get for the guy who has everything? A new pair of snazzy glasses? A round of golf at a Dubai course shaped like his own face*? An agreement to never speak the name of his latest straight-to-DVD movie?
But then I realized, it’s not about what we can give Justin. It’s about celebrating what Justin has given us during his 29th trip around the sun. It’s what he’d want. (It’s also much cheaper.) So without further ado, here’s a list of five great things JT did this past year.

2. “Love Sex Magic,” an awesome duet with Ciara
3. “Mother Lover,” an awesome duet with Andy Samberg on SNL
4. “Carry Out,” an awesome duet with Timbaland on Shock Value II.
5. “Hallelujah,” an awesome duet with protegé Matt Morris on the Hope for Haiti benefit
Are we seeing a trend here? JT, I know technically you get make your own wish on your birthday. But if we get one, too, we’d wish for a little more one-on-one time with you in 2010 — musically speaking, of course.

I know this is a hundred kinds of “just wrong” so please don’t flame me. But the end of that commercial he does with Peyton Manning where they’re playing ping pong amuses me every time I see it.
Nothing wrong with that. I laugh every time too. Justin is a funny guy who doesn’t mind puttint it out there for a laugh.
I prefer the one with the cameras where Peyton goes “Let’s get a picture, you and me” and they lean in to the camera. For some reason it kills me…

When he hosted SNL last year!!! That was the funniest SNL of 2009!!

The Hope for Haiti “Hallelujah” duet was amazing. JT and Matt Morris for the win.
I have had a soft spot for JT since his first SNL gig, but that duet made me fall in love with the guy. Those two have absolutely angelic voices, and the combination of song, voices, music–perfection. That was Beauty and Art being produced right there in front of your eyes. Gave me chills.

Wow, I almost forgot how hot that “Love Sex Magic” video is. I think I need a smoke. I’ve been obsessed with JT for 12 years now, and he keeps getting better. The “Sexy Ladies” skit was my fave of the year. If only we could get a new album!

Halleluia – surely one of the best Leonard Cohen songs ever and these guys do it beautifully. That was gorgeous.
All of these moments were fantastic! Also, he did win an Emmy for his SNL hosting gig this year. He never fails to stir something in me – whether its a laugh or a cry (Hallelujah). He is amazing and I love him!

I really admire JT because he seems like a truly good guy all across the board. And he is wonderful to his mother, which – in my book – is very telling of a person’s character. Happy B.D. JT… you rock!
