I don’t see the point in watching Miss America because it has and always will be to me: a beauty contest.

I’ve worked in the Miss America program at the state and local levels for more than 20 years. If you’ve never been involved in this volunteer organization that exists to reward “role models”, rather than “models”, I encourage you to do a little research and discover exactly why young women can learn self-confidence and civic virtue through this program, and what sets it apart from skin shows like Donald Trump’s Miss USA pageant and the sick shows that parents force their pre-teens into. Just a basic understanding of what this program does and has done in the past will show that it has a lot to be proud about. If you don’t approve, that’s fine. But at least learn what it is that y ou are talking about, rather than getting your opinion from movies like “Miss Congeniality” or reality TV shows.

no A.C. slater isn’t the one that killed Miss America, Vanessa Williams is the one that killed Miss America and she won miss america but she posed nude for pics during her year what a idiot!!! any girl would be smarter than vanessa williams!!!
