Letterman adds fuel to the Jay Leno fire

If you’re like us and you’re navigating your way through this dangerous dance called the NBC late night shuffle, then you’ll want to check out the Law & Order spoof Dave Letterman will air on The Late Show tonight. Watch for the Ice-T cameo!

Funny, but, if he REALLY wanted to be bold, Letterman should’ve put himself in the “Law & Order: LVU” credits.

    • Ash

I agree, “Ceballos”, Dave should have added himself to the credits. I think this was hilarious though. CONAN ROCKS!

    • EP

Totally agree, Ceballos. It was a funny bit for sure.

Dave is awesome, it so obvious no one else in that line of work likes Big jaw Leno – hope his show tanks, Johnny Carson did not want him, so why does NBC need him so bad?

      • Devin

Why DOES NBC want/need him so bad??? I honestly haven’t talked to one person that watches his show. Before or since the recent shake up.

    • laylagalise

Agreed! He was the first victim…

  • Gretchen

    This is great!!!

    • lori

Leno was vicious and catty about Lettermans sex scandals, so this is fair play.

  • anna

    Very funny!

  • Fred

I was expecting Letterman in that, but he did not, big miss.

    • Sharlin

Totally thought Letterman was gonna add himself into that montage too!!

      • e4ia

But when you think about it, Letterman really didn’t become a victim, He has a very sucessful talk show on different network, he is richer than God, and will probably be the last man standing in all this mess.

  • Devin

    i think it’s perfection.
team Conan and all that jazz.

NBC has made a lot of mistakes but this was the straw that broke the camel’s back and lost my viewership.

I’ll follow Conan to Fox or anywhere else for that matter. hopefully they can work something it.

  • Kate

I love it! I primarily watch Letterman, but Conan is great too – his statement today was classy and hilarious. “Big Jaw” needs to go bye-bye. Team Conan!

brutal, and true. interesting to see Letterman’s contempt for Leno displayed so openly.

  • Scooter

    Ice-T as Carson Daly!! High-larious!!

  • bunker

Letterman is really getting great mileage out of all this NBC crap.

  • Mike

    Beautiful.

  • hochelaga

    :) Broad grin snicker guffaw

  • Dwayne

LOL @ all the Leno hate. David Letterman NEVER beat Leno or the Tonight Show’s ratings until Conan took over.

    • Abby

Actually, Letterman was beating Leno in the ratings for the first year (?) or so. Then Hugh Grant came on, and Leno’s been beating him ever since. I don’t understand why – Leno is not funny.

      • Samuel

The bulk of the Jay Leno audience are old people who forgot to turn the TV before they fell asleep watching the late local news.

      • JT

Yeah, Jay was almost fired to, but they actually showed loyalty to him. Jay would’ve been fired at his six month point, if it was based on ratings.

      • nointrospec

That’s why I can’t understand why the Tonight Show has to move back for Leno. Why doesn’t Leno move to one of the later timeslots? Why make Conan move? Leno’s ratings are fair to poor. It’s not like he’s some powerhouse. Somehow Leno has convinced the NBC suits that he’s more valuable than he actually is. They are fools for buying into it.

  • steve

AWESOME! Dave’s the best! I say again, screw Leno! And long live Conan! :)

  • tpeluso

    Poor Carson Daly.

  • andrewinchicago

Laugh it up Dave. Once Jay is back you’ll be back in 2nd place. Should be familiar territory for you buddy.
