Tonight’s How I Met Your Mother is the show’s 100th episode — it’s a major milestone for any show, but the episode is particularly special for a few reasons. One, it features Rachel Bilson (as maybe, gasp, the mother?), and two, it includes a musical number for Neil Patrick Harris’s Barney Stinson. Eeeee!

If they don’t reveal the mother tonight, I’m done. It’s a decent show, but they’re been holding onto this premise for far too long, it’s time for it to grow up, if you will.

We see a glimpse of the mother tonight…but even if they didn’t, the show has morphed into something special, with or without the mother being revealed
Grow up? Where’s the fun in that? The premise is not the reason I watch the show. I am intrigued if the mother is revealed tonight, but do we really want Ted to hurry up and get married? The show is about the journey, not the destination.
That’s my thought, kfran. The whole point of the show is about growing up, which is why I like it.

i stopped watching when it turned into the neil patrick harris show. happy 100 neil!
Why did that make you stop watching? And while his character is the most “colorful,” the other characters add their own comedy and stories too. You can’t hate on Jason Segel!
He may be prominent when it comes to promoting the show, but it’s not all about Barney. He’s mostly the B or C-plot these days.
Each character has their season in terms of bringing the funny. In the beginning it was NPH. Then Jason Segel had late season 2 and season 3. Cobie killed as Robin last year. This season Alyson Hannigan has gotten the most laughs from me (and others, too based on her Ppl’s Choice Award…)
Pretty much. If you dont think Cobie freaking stoled the show last season you are blind. And I´ve been liking Ted more and more, wich I didnt very much at first.
I honestly don’t want the mother to show up just yet. Takes out all the fun.

i bet rachel bilson isn’t the mother, they are just tricking you into thinking she might be the mother! but at least you know that the mother was in that class!
