During the final minutes of last night’s Brothers & Sisters, my jaw dropped as low as Kevin’s in this photo. Read the full post.

You know who would be a good romantic interest for Nora – anyone remember the actor that played Ryan’s father? He was on for 1-2 episodes sometime last year (or the year before, can’t remember), but I really liked him, and there seemed to be a slight chemistry/connection between him and Nora, especially because they both suffered with cheating spouses. That would make an interesting storyline, especially with the whole Ryan-as-half-Walker connection.

He was on so briefly but I really hope they bring him back on as a character – he just seemed so honest, decent, down-to-earth and good-looking in a rugged kinda way. Wish I knew the name of that actor …

    • Hi

His name is David Andrews. He was Kate Brewster’s Dad in Terminator 3.

    • Jelana

I remember him. At the time, that’s where I thought they were going to take the story.

I think that was the original plan, but luckily, the writers veered away from that.

I get the sense too that the original plan was to have some sparkage between Nora and Ryan’s dad.
Maybe for fear of negatively impacting Ryan’s story, they dropped it. However, it’s now abundantly clear that Ryan is a dud, so bringing his dad back would be a possible way to enliven his character. I think Holly pursuing the charges against Ryan wold be a good way to bring his dad back on…
Also, it might be kind of interesting to have another connected, branch family – like Holly and Rebecca – on the show.

GREAT episode and GREAT ending with nora busting cheating Simon and Saul busting out of the closet. I agree that there is something on the OJAI land that the kids dont know about but William Walker did. Here’s hoping Holly finds it before she sells her shares…

Dustin: The writers stuck in a backstory about Kitty’s political aspirations with her ‘intern letters’ from last week’s episode. She originally went to D.C. with the idea of getting into politics not journlism and got sidetracked. Now dealing with the cancer has made her decide to try for something she’s always wanted. My problem is that the B&S writers will probably have Kitty running for some major office and not starting out with running for the local city council or mayor.

Wow I loved the Holly storyline last night and how defeated she looked after talking to Saul (and I’ve sneered at her character many times). If she does sell her shares, and to someone who obviously has an anti-Walker agenda, it’s going to cause major repercussions for the Walkers (who can be amazingly self-absorbed) and Rebecca, which is a good thing.

Well she probably could get away with running for a major office. She was a celebrity with her radio and tv show and she has been communications director/spouse for Robert which is more qualifications than Hilary Clinton had before she ran for Senate, so it wouldn’t be a gaffe by the writers to have her run for a big time office.

      • Christie

True–I forgot Kitty had the radio/ TV talk show in the first season and she certainly has name recognition as Robert’s spouse and from her book.

Agreed. The end of this episode had me cracking up laughing! Fav show of mine. Justin – hopefully he figures out what’s wrong so he can get back to med school and graduate with flying colors. Kev/Scotty – are cute, maybe they’ll have twins, wouldn’t that be something? Sarah – the new guy seems nice, I thought it was funny how he said “my ex” like “hint hint” to her and then she identified herself as divorced also, and BAM, they are going steady lol. Nora – love her and I’m glad she took things into her own hands and settled it once and for all, BTW, was anyone else wondering if that doorbell was REALLY a detective? Cuz they didn’t bother to check if it was or watch him leave, I would’ve locked my doors once he left! Kitty – she didn’t really have much this ep, but next week looks good!!

I did not like this show it just seemed like a lot of whinning. However, I liked Holly’s storyline, she is not my favorite but she is a smart cookie. I also liked Nora putting the smacked down on Simon. Also, tween or no, Sarah’s daugther’s tone needed to be checked.

  • Lisa

I love that they are giving Holly something to do – Wettig is a great actress and she should get more scenes with the fabulous Sally Field.

  • C.J.

Completely agree about Nora’s Simon takedown scene — how much did I love her correcting Sarah about the Bond thing?! — and that Holly’s teary scene with Saul was great (I’m not usually a Wettig fan, but she really brought it). As for Kevin … sure, it’s nice that he learned his little lesson for the week. But Kevin’s been doing idiotically self-absorbed crap and making the same “wow, it’s really *not* all about me” discovery for three and a half seasons now. At some point, shouldn’t he quit being such a tool?

I love how the writers show that everyone thinks a middle-aged woman should be complete through just her family. I love how Nora lives for her family, but is a person too, who would love to have a relationship. Can someone remind me–what happened to the cute Brit? Why did he go away?
Oh, and the divorced dad for Sarah? I haven’t seen him on Sons of Anarchy, but he still comes off stalker creepy. I couldn’t help but think, ‘you’re kidding’ when I saw him. My ickdar was up, you’d think Sarah’s would be too.
For the first time, I agreed with Holly. Saul was out of line with the dropping the charges thing for Ryan. If there was ever a person who doesn’t really seem to get how adults act and real consequences–not Ryanland consequences, it’s him.

look. i love the show. but last night — meh. i don’t know — it felt recycled and been there done that.
i love the family drama and the witty banter when they are all together. that blonde lady annoys the crap out of me.

In my experience natural means tend to produce much more solid results and I find that the majority of people are much happier in the end. In fact there are bountiful ways to aquire fairer skin; lighten skin pigmentations; freckles; age spots; acne marks; lighten dark underarms; melasma; or lighten your overall skin tone. What are your readers thoughts and experiences?
