avatar is probably going to get it, just because it’s most recent and the hype, but i’d rank both star trek and district 9 ahead of it. i think that while 9 was a great movie, it will struggle some because it’s foreign, which don’t always fare so well on oscar night.
They don’t give Oscars to sci-fi movies; they shouldn’t start. And if they do start, they certainly shouldn’t start with any of those films.
Star Trek, for sure.
How great would it have been if Moon stood a chance. [Sigh] if only.
