‘Terminator 2′ is my favorite. Now enough with Cameron. Let’s talk about Kathryn Bigelow.

By placing Terminator at the bottom of the list, its clear that you are only concerned with FX.

    3)The Abyss

I can’t remember Aliens very well, and I don’t recall seeing Teminator 2, but they aren’t really my kind of movie.

DnnInn, You are correct. Avatar is, story-wise, one of the worst Cameron films. Formulaic is an understatement when describing the completely unoriginal plot of this monster.

Moka, if you weren’t being sarcastic, your statement simply means you haven’t seen the hundreds of other (far better) films that deal with every subject you mentioned.

Let me first clarify that even the weakest Cameron film is miles ahead of 90% of other movies. Having said that…

    2. Terminator 2
    3. Avatar
    4. Terminator
    5. The Abyss
    6. Titanic
    7. True Lies

    Here goes!
    1. Terminator 2. Special effects were amazing and the action was too.
    2. The Terminator. I like the originality of the story.
    3. Aliens. Not as good as Alien, but stands out on it’s own in it’s own way.
    4. Titanic. People talk trash about it now, but this was THE movie in ’97 and ’98.
    5. The Abyss. Not what I expected at all, but still pleasantly surprised.
    6. Avatar. It is quite an experience and I am not a die-hard fan. But, I’ve never seen anything like it and I actually like the story.

Most of you have gotten it right: The Terminator movies are best, then Aliens, then Avatar, then Titanic, then True Lies (never saw the Abyss).

  • Jonathan F.

Look at all these hipsters ranking Titanic so low. It’s easily one of the most incredible cinematic experiences ever.
