At first I laughed, and then I thought “hmm, I bet that does feel great.” There are not enough of those roller slides out there anymore.

Somewhere between charming animal videos and accidental Dadaist performance art lies this very video.
4.The NY Lotto Sweet Millions commercial, particularly the piglets in PJs
I was loathe to include a commercial on this list, but this ranks among the great moments in baby animal cuteness. I’ve seen this ad dozens of time, and it still just slays me.
3. “Slow loris loves getting tickled”
And we love watching it.
2. Keyboard Cat
Easily the meme of year, and 20 times better than just writing “fail,” Keyboard Cat had as big a year as Taylor Swift.
1. The French Bulldog puppy who can’t roll over
I called this the cutest video ever, and I stand by that. This is far and away the best animal video of the year, and it’s one for the all-time record books.

Wait! Where’s Maru?
Complete oversight. A cat that loves to jump into boxes? How does that not belong on the list. Maru is a star.
as a french bulldog owner, i can say that my puppy also had issues rolling over, but she had a lot of fun and was never in any pain while learning how. frenchie puppies are so cute it’s almost sickening.
That slow Loris – whose name I would love to know- is utterly precious- but so are the other little ones. I love them all.
Great list, but it isn’t complete without the video of “the puppy who tries to whistle!”

I know it’s animation, but Simon’s Cat vids (particularly the one where the cat wakes his owner)are
adorable AND subversive.
The Sweet Million one for me is the circus/sideshow edition made all that more great by the bored bordering on caustic voiceover.
The bulldog is not in distress. If it were, the older dog would come to investigate. There were several times where it looked like the dog was going to roll over, but then sent itself back the other way. My dog (not a bulldog) used to do this to rub it’s back. I still say that’s what’s going on…see the slide video above as possible proof.
Hulu sucks because it plays only for US residents and I am to lazy to switch my fake IP program on. So no puppies dressed as cats for me.
I have a permanent link to the “surprise kitty” so that when I am having a horrible day I can watch and feel a million times better! That video is better than paxcil!!!
So, so true.
The puppy is very flat chested. The rib cage isn’t round as it should be. That is the reason the pup can’t roll over without human assistance. Having raised bulldogs and Frenchies for over 30 years I have seen the problem in other breeders pups.
Where are the puppies that fall asleep while the guy sings “Goodnight, Sweetheart”? That was this year, right? Impossibly adorable.
I don’t know what year these vids come out, but my favorite animal that I saw this year is ninja cat.
For me, I’d put the list in reverse. Piglet goes to beach is number one!
