An adaptation of The Alienist by Caleb Carr. Depp could play Kriezler, Downey could play Moore. Or the opposite. Either way, it would be brilliant!

i agree with you and meg. the alienist is a fabulous book; i would love to see it as a movie. i can’t decide who would work best as which character though. eh, doesn’t matter! they’re a great pairing and i love them both!

Fourth Wall-RD Jr. as a method actor who gets too deep in a role and can’t stop playing him. JD is a therapist hired by the studio to get him to break character. But JD decides to join him in the fantasy and they go on the lam.

I love to see Johnny Depp in anything! He is a generous person who has my heart going strong at the mere mention of his name. Robert Downey Junior not so much.

I would love to see Depp play Prof. Moriarty, he was great as the villian in Sweeney Todd.
I’d say he was more the anti-hero of Sweeney Todd rather than a true villain.
Yeah maybe, he definitely had villainous tendencies. I guess he fits the tragic hero archetype.
Oh my god, I would really love it if Johnny Depp and Robert Downey Jr. did a movie together. They are my top 2 favorite actors and no matter what type of movie they do together, I’m totally there!!

Depp and Downey on screen together, theatres would not be big enough to hold the audience! Great idea. Maybe the definitive something or other sequel.
They’re both too similar. And frankly, both too limited in range (avoids hurled bricks).

I think a gangster movie like Public Enemies… but better… but honestly – any of these ideas are great – just the thought of them together makes my heart race!
