PopWatchers, we need your help crowning the top dress of the ’00s. Check out our gallery of top fashions and tell us what fa-fa-fabulous looks we missed — what would be YOUR nominations for best dress of the decade? And tell us the event it was worn to or film/TV show it was from, if you remember. Fashion police, over to you…

Kiera Knightley’s dress in “Atonement”. Great color, great scene, great dress.
Agreed!
agreed, I decided to get married last June in a dress copied from this – not in green but burnished gold. It was wonderful! It is a very complicated structure yet is a beautifully simple and flattering dress.
I loved the dress you nominated for Carrie Bradshaw, but it was the green tutu looking one where she ran into Big in Paris that I love! Same with Blake Lively. Her dress on Gossip Girl was amazing, but she looked even more stunning in the red one she wore to the emmys this year. Good choices in the gallery, hard to choose just one. I loved Julia Roberts black one though that she wore when she won her oscar.
I agree with Erin. That green tutu dress was the REAL throwback to her opening credits tutu.
Movies had lots of great dresses, including K2 green dress in “Atonement,” indeed.
I’d also add, in particular order, Kate Hudson’s yellow dress in “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” Madonna’s fabulous yellow Versace number in “Swept Away,” and Amy Adams’ purple frock in “Enchanted.”

Jennifer Garner’s orange Valentino from the 2004 Oscars wins the decade for me!
Agreed! Loved that one.
I would like to add Catherine Zeta Jones’ bergundy dress that she wore when she won an Oscar best supporting actress for Chicago. She was VERY pregnant at the time and looked BEAUTIFUL!
Ooooh, second. She looked amazing.
She wore a black dress when she won her oscar. The burgudy Valentino was in 1999.
While I think JLo’s is the most iconic of the decade, the best is the dress from Atonement
And even though I don’t like her as an actress, Hilary Swank deserves mention for the navy blue backless dress she wore to the Oscars in 2005.
I liked the dress that Drew Barrymore wore to the Emmys this year, but if I had to vote from the gallery, mine is for Julia Roberts.
However… JLo’s is the most iconic, the most memorable.
… Out of the group given … here are my faves … Julia Roberts, Oscors 01: Kate Winslet, Oscors 02: Cate Blanchet, Oscors O5: and Penelope Curz, Oscors 07 … There were many others that I thought were nice but those stand out to me, more classic and classy, fit well and showed great in pics. and on TV … Just Gorgeous!!!
Number Six’s red dress on Battlestar Galactica! It’s so iconic and probably the image most associated with the show! Also, any of Joan’s dresses on Mad Men. I would love her wardrobe. In terms of red carpet fashion, I liked Penelope Cruz’ Valentino.
Jessica Alba at the 2006 Oscars, Cate Blanchett at the 2007 Oscars, Katherine Heigl at the 2008 Oscars, Charlize Theron at the 2004 Golden Globes, Kate Hudson at the 2003 Oscars, Freida Pinto at the 2009 Oscars, Angelina Jolie at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, Beyonce at the 2005 Grammy Awards.
Lots from others not shown in gallery, so may that I can’t even name them … so i’ll just give coudos to those who wore there dress well, instead of the other way around … those who looked classy and not class-less … etc.
many … can’t type today.
Betty Draper on mad men always wears amazing dresses but the blue and yellow spotted dress she wore last season while hosting a dinner party and then confronting Don was one of her very best.
