Finals, Relationships: Flavor of Love vs. Rock of Love
While I enjoyed the Newlyweds, I am more ashamed to admit that I watched the Surreal Life on a regular basis – and that’s the defintion of a guilty pleaseure.

Surreal life is like the granddaddy of all the VH1 shows.
Surreal Life, no contest. Newlyweds had a few “OMG she can’t be that stupid/vapid/self-centered” moments but SL is an amazing mix of people who want to be back in the limelight so badly they were willing to not only live with other “has-beens” but COMPETE to see who is the “least has-been.” That’s the definition of “can’t tear yourself away” TV. What I was always surprised about was some I thought would be huge ego jerks turned out to be sincerely kind and caring (and vice-versa of course.) I love watching who turned into the “parents” of the house and who were the “spoiled brats!” When is another season coming–Lindsay it’s time for your close-up girl!
