This lipdub of “You Make My Dreams Come True” is unreal. Sorry, “I Gotta Feeling” college students, enjoy your now-silver medal.
Also, what classroom has posters of Dwight and Colbert? Best teacher ever!
There were a few moments where I thought no way is this really in reverse, but it definitely is. Were you doing something this silly and cool in high school, PopWatchers? I sure wasn’t.

Amazing… Theres hope for all of us yet.If all this energy and ingenious cooperation took place in the name of fun. Imagine what we can do!!! In the name of Life and the pursuit of Common Sense.
I love the backwards movement! I also saw the college lipdub in your link, but this one’s a bit better.
Umm.. it’s not that great. In half the spots the people aren’t even lip-synching. Did anyone bother to learn the song?
Sheesh, you have some high expectations for high-schoolers’ abilities to lip synch backwards while walking backwards.
Huh? What? I’m with Razor…what’s the point of this? Nothing seems to match up with nuthin’.
Well yeah, but considering its on at all is kind of amazing. try pronouncing “you make my dreams come true” like “eurt emoc smeard ym ekam uoy” and having it look the right way when played backwords.
my alma mater! I haven’t been back to the school in four or five years so it was crazy to see the hallways again. Also, it started out as a Lip Dub challenge from our rival school, Shorecrest High School
Ditto, Marisa! Watching this brought back a lot of memories. Wish our class was that cool. Way to go SW! You guys totally beat SC with that one (although theirs was VERY good too!)
Here the is the video from Shorecrest that started the challenge: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPTd8MgAeqI
The reason Rainn Wilson is crossed out is because he supports the SC video and has (jokingly I am sure) called SW idiot losers and told them the school sucks. Rainn is a SC alumn.
Both are awesome videos.
Wow. You must be very proud, Marisa.
Everything in this video is impressive EXCEPT for the lip-synching. Which still puts it behind “I Gotta Feelin’” in my book. The only one that halfway looked like she understood that she needed to move her lips was the girl in the green polo at the end/(beginning?).
Okay everyone who’s commented badly about our lip synching, think about it. the lip synchers had to pronounce the words backwards and get it right on cue. so instead of “you make my dreams come true”, they’d have to say “eurt emoc smaerd ym ekam uoy” and in the right rhythm. PLUS, we only had 3 rehearsal days to get this down. it was very challenging and yes maybe some of the lip synching was off, but its pretty damn good considering the facts ive presented.
I agree. Well done all around. You should all be proud of this.
great video. I bet the people saying negative things here can’t even get the walking backward part.
This is my school! The reason why Dwight is being “crossed out” on the video, is because Dwight attending our rival high school, which is why we even made the video in the first place.
Also, Ashton Kutcher tweeted this.
Still giving the gold medal to the Montreal university students..This is really good, but the lip synching was really off. I understand about the backwards part but sometimes they weren’t even trying. But hey, silver medal is still amazing!
BU’s is better than either one.
