Dress or Dog? Guilty Pleasures Real Lives Finals: 'Say Yes to the Dress' vs. 'Dog the Bounty Hunter'

We’re getting closer to the Final Four, PopWatchers! Our Guilty Pleasures Reality TV Showdown now moves into the Finals for each of our categories. The results have been quite unexpected in this “Real” Lives category, with our number six and seven seeds taking top votes so far. Say Yes to the Dress now goes head to head with Dog the Bounty Hunter. Have those shows ever been mentioned in the same sentence? Who will triumph, Kleinfeld’s fashion director Randy and the visiting bitchy bridesmaids, or Duane “Dog” Chapman, Beth and the kids?

Let’s remind you of just a few highlights from each show:

Say Yes to the Dress
The bride who wanted leopard print, the buzzkill bridesmaid who said “I’m not excited by it,” the (many) ludicrously expensive gowns, the sorority sisters who didn’t intend to buy, the mother who slapped alterations queen Vera, Michelle Duggar’s modesty panel, brides fighting over the same dress, the bride who wore a mask for her try-ons, and the private jet customers who didn’t care that the store was closed…

Dog the Bounty Hunter
The wedding, the Rocky Mountain round-up, Ozzy’s theme song, bunnies for the kids, Dog’s surprising arrest, the unique hairstyles and fashion statements…

Let us know YOUR favorite moment from each show in the comments below. But first, the shows need your votes:

No show is more entertaining on a weekly basis than Dog. Every week the set-up is the same, “this guy is a runner, he won’t go down with a fight”. The team gets a bunch of bogus leads and after some really bad unsigned bands music they take the guy down without incident. The payoff of course is when Dog tells the convict that he needs to change his/her ways and that Dog loves them. It is pretty beautiful in a wacky trailer-park kinda way.

Two of my favs were the sister from the pic above. The twin sister was so eaten up with jealousy cuz the spotlight wasn’t on her that she was a total beeeyotch all through the appointment, going so far as to tell her sis to hurry up because they had other places to be and she was bored. OMG, I wanted to smack her. Another was the petite girl who wanted a classic simple dress at a certain price and her bridesmaid/cousin who thought she knew better and when the bride dislike like her pics so much she refused to be seen in them, she blamed it on Carmen for being pushy. Totally ruined the day for the bride who went home empty-handed in both cases.

Yeah, that twin was the worst. You could see the jealousy seeping out of her pores. Does anyone remember the mom who made her daughter cry with comments like “Did I give birth to you! Why did you pick that dress?!”

I can’t believe Say yes to the dress beat out RHONJ. At least I don’t have to pick between the Jersey ladies and Rock of Love now.

Rock of Love will take the crown. Skanks fighting over a washed up rock star with diabetes? Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.

DOG all the way – if I want to see a bunch of overly pricked up beeatches – I’ll watch Bus of Love – same gene pool – less highbrow “I only want the best” attitude

Dog all the way! How often do you see a family work together like the Chapman’s do? That is always my favorite part they work as a team and they function well as a family! Plenty of life lessons to be learned too! It’s my favorite show by far!!
