William Sonoma’s Peppermint Bark. SO. GOOD.
My mom makes the most delicious sugar cookies – melts in my mouth! And we also have a norwegian cookie recipe that’s been in my family for several generations that we make every year. It’s called kringle (kring-lah). People often describe them as really soft sweet pretzels.
Oh, my grandmother used to make kringles! They are so good!
I have plenty of yummy homemade recipes — fudge, gooey butter cake cookies — but I do love the Trader Joe’s Jo-Jos cookies. They are like Oreos only with real peppermint candy crushed up inside the cream filling. Yum!
Soynogg and rum. It goes great with gingerbread cookies.
I forgot about Brach’s peppermint nougats (the ones with the Christmas tree in the middle). Truly addicting.
I will always prefer homemade to store-bought. My grandma always used to make homemade candy. My favorite were these chocolate coated, creamy, coconut things called Martha Washingtons. I’m gonna have to start taking on the task of making them now, to preserve the tradition.
Every year my company receives ‘Cheryl’s Cookies’ from a vendor as a holiday gift. I love their frosted cookies. As for homemade, my sister’s cherry dream pie and any cake my mom chooses to make.
I’m such a peppermint bark addict at Christmas time. Trader Joe’s version is yummy!
Not a fan of messy foods, but I will make an exception for popcorn balls! They’re like 50 for a dollar. I brought them to a holiday party one time. Everyone put aside all the fancy foods at the buffet and enjoyed this nostalgic treat. The hostess was so mad!
