My favorite line belonged to Ron: “We can’t have raccoons at the Christmas festivities. They’ll hunt the children for sport.”
That, and Jerry’s “it was only farts” had me cracking up. Combined with 30 Rock’s “shark farts!” it was a good night all around for fart jokes, which I normally don’t find funny.
Loved the episode, this show has gotten so good, I’m so glad I stuck with it. Every little thing that bugged me has been fixed. Leslie was too much – they’ve really calmed her down and made her likable and good at her job, and Amy Poehler is doing a fantastic job. I didn’t like April – but once she and Andy formed their friendship and crush, I really like her. I like the Leslie/Ann friendship and that it’s very mutual. And Ron, who I was worried they’d take the easy way out and make him the Dwight Schrute of Pawnee, has turned into an awesome character.
Hope P&R continues to put out great shows and grows an audience, it’s well deserved.
Gonna join the ranks of people that HATED this show last season and have been converted. It took my recording several eps starting with Halloween to convince my teens and hubby to give it another try. Now we all watch together and laugh our butts off. As for last night, it was a great night of holiday episodes all around and Parks rocked it.
Also, Leslie said that she wasn’t feeling attached to Pawnee to Ann, not Dave. This show has been one of my favorites since it aired, but has only gotten better this season.
Oh, and a Community recap (not just Popwatch) would be great. That show is just as great as the other Thursday comedies.
Love this show, have stuck with it from the beginning and it’s getting better and better – tonight was the best yet. Cast gel perfectly. Aubrey Plaza is bang on the money with her deadpan portrayal of April. Amy Poehler deserves a Golden Globe for this show, she is simply outstanding…
Best thing about this ep: no Andy-Anne-planning-cityplanner crap. That triangle wore out with me, good to see it finished(?).
I loved the fact that there was apparently always a photographer around to take pictures of Leslie and the Councilman. And I loved watching Ron struggle through Leslie’s day. City Offices are full of people like that. It looks like they do nothing, but in reality no one would want their job.
Anybody notice that the pictures sold to the tabloid and given to the news show came from the “documentary” camera? What if the documentary crew was selling footage? This would make a cool twist in the show!
It’s surprising to me how this has become the show in NBC’s comedy block that is consistently hilarious. Although I will miss Dave, I can’t wait for Will Arnett to be Leslie’s new love interest! And Jerry is my new favorite TV character.
Amy Poehler and Will Arnett FTW!
Easily the most improved show of the year. I still loved the first season, but season 2 has simply surpassed the first one by miles. No more pit, better use of the characters, and great episodes. Last night’s episode was awesome. The blood diamond joke by Ron had me crying! Also, Leslie mooning everyone on TV had me cracking up too!
I have grown to love this show! Leslie, Ron, Tom, April, Andy and Dave are all so hilarious. So glad I stuck with it- season one was good but season two has been GREAT!
