Its business, its business time!!
Best song in Season 1 was “The Tape of Love” (black paper, white paper, stick’em together with the tape of love . . .) I loved Season 1 but couldn’t get into Season 2. Hope to see more of the boys in the future somewhere out there in media land
the sticky stuff
I am SO going to miss the unenthusiastic New Zealand posters on Murray’s wall!
My favorite: New Zealand, like Lord of the Rings (or something along those lines)
New Zealand…Rocks! ( with a giant poster of rocks) hee hee
I love them and enjoyed the show, but I always enjoyed their live shows and that original HBO special more. Good for them for not trying to go on with the show too long. Now, TOUR TOUR TOUR!!!
Bummer! I was hoping for season 3 but it’s good that they aren’t going to drag it out and kill a good thing. I think I’ll miss them both equally but I will miss saying Brit(bret) more although saying JEmaine is fun too. My favorite moment from season one is BUSINESS TIME and from season two I would have to say “Garfunkaling”
that sucks!!! that show was hilarious!
Murray was the best!!!
I knew this was coming, but it’s still really sad. I’m happy I got to see them at Radio City this year.
Truly the funniest show I’ve ever watched, buzzed or sober. My guy and I came across it one day on On Demand and we had nothing to do…watched the 1st episode and was hooked from the party they were at when they were at Daves house and the very first song…like a part-time model…when that line came up…we were sold. Watched the whole season in one sit down! Freaking hilarious and I’ve turned at least 5 people onto the show thus far.
I guess I’ll miss them, but in reality the second season was pretty weak. You could tell that they were running out of ideas. So I’m kinda happy they didn’t try to force out a terrible third season and then get unceremoniously canceled.
My hat is off to HBO who had faith in them and a lot of patience. They could have and maybe should have stopped the show pretty early on, but they were nice enough to keep it going.
The reason that the second season was so inconsistent is that the first season contained songs that they’d been performing for years. Once the show got picked up for season 2, they had to write all new material. Since their songs are brilliantly done; that takes time. With the crunch of a TV production schedule, that can’t have been easy for them. I am sad that the show won’t be back on…
eeeww. that sucks.
I’ve seen them live twice here in Milwaukee. Their live show is fantastic. Of all the episodes I think the Bowie episode is the best.
Bret you got it goin’ on- I spoon you. I can watch that episode over & over. Bret & Jemaine, you will be missed…
Going to miss Murray, Dave.. all of them!
I was hoping if they were swamped for material, the fans could lend a hand with songs or ideas for songs. That is probably a selfish idea though.
I hope that this “there is no season 3 ever” thing is not written in stone. This show made me so happy. Literally every second watching, I was happy.
The show was funny while it lasted. I remember when a friend of mine first showed me one of thier videos on his computer. I never laughed so hard.
This is one of the funnier advertisements I’ve seen on EW.
I feel like Bret and Jermaine would appreciate it.
