Quarterfinals, Competition: Celebrity Apprentice vs. Celebrity Mole
Celebrity Apprentice
It’s the only chance we ever get to see Tom Green and Dennis Rodman drinking together, Stephen Baldwin discussing corporate espionage, Piers Morgan calling Lenox Lewis “a pretty boy,” and Clint Black wearing a Bluetooth while talking on a different cellphone. And who could forget Joan and Melissa Rivers and their showdown with poker champ Annie Duke? Even the Donald seems frightened sometimes, but hey it’s all for charity. And trainwreck TV. Coming soon, Sharon Osbourne, Sinbad, and Darryl Strawberry are among a motley group of celebs we’ll soon be seeing skewered in the boardroom. – Wendy Mitchell
Celebrity Mole
D-list celebs playing for cash for themselves not a charity? Guilty! But then, you see, they really want to win, and, in some cases, they delivered the finest performances of their careers (i.e. Stephen Baldwin — him again! — sheep wrangling). The reason the show was a pleasure was two-fold: For starters, the stars actually had to work. While they completed mental and physical challenges to add to the kitty, one among them tried to sabotage the group. They survived elimination by outscoring the others on a weekly quiz, which tested both their powers of observation and theories on the identity of the mole. Paranoia is good TV, especially when it’s coming from Corbin Bernsen. – Mandi Bierly

I loved Celebrity Mole, but I loved The Mole even more. They brought it back last year and it was good, but too many people figured out who The Mole was right off the bat, so it lost it’s appeal to many of them. I hope that they try again, it’s a good show and after a slightly rough start, I really liked the new host. The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice are both unwatchable.
To be honest, I used to like BOTH shows before they turned into “celebrity” versions (…yawn)
But if I HAD to choose, I’d probably pick the Apprentice….The Mole kinda dragged on sometimes
(although Anderson Cooper did a great job back in the day!)
I used to love The Mole. I kind of wish Anderson Cooper would agree to come back to host it.
I miss Celebrity Mole… I could actually stomach Steven Baldwin and he and Corbin… I’m laughing to myself as I type. Good times…
There was nothing more amazing than watching Erik Von Detton and Kathry Griffin battle it out on Celebrity Mole…why that show hasn’t continued, I will never know. I would still watch the repeats if they were on!
If Anderson Cooper hosted the Celebrity version then I would have picked the Mole. I just could not overlook the Joan Rivers verbal abuse on a poker player that most people will never hear from again.
Celebrity Mole (Hawaii), hands down. Corbin Bernsen and Stephen Baldwin were hilarious together, and Kathy Griffin was right there with the snarky commentary. What I love with both Celebrity Mole editions is that they’re all actually having FUN! I recently saw the Yucatan re-run — Dennis Rodman *is* the Mole of Moleville.
Who’s the oompa loompa in the picture with Joan Rivers?
