Toniiiiight, toniiiiight…is the season finale of The Biggest Loser. I’m so excited I could burst into show tunes! Who’s going to make it to the final weigh-in — America’s Choice Amanda or old-lady underdog Liz? (Don’t hate, she’s been harping on those things all season.) And how will the chosen lady fare against powerhouses Rudy and Danny in the final three?
I’m a proponent of girl power and all that, but I am firmly on Team Rudy-or-Danny going into tonight’s final episode rumble weigh-in. One thing that could sway my vote firmly into the Danny camp: Danny performance. Tonight. Make it happen, NBC! As season 8 recapper extraordinaire Darren put it, Thin Danny the High School Rock Star needs to make a triumphant return, stat.
I’ve got to say, watching the show on my couch (I mean, uh, the treadmill) without being chained to my laptop was quite an enjoyable experience (Yes, I am Jean Bentley of Biggest Loser season 7 recap fame. I’ll sign autographs later, pending the successful transfer of cash money into my Paypal account. Autograph fee, you understand.) Clearly, NBC read my recaps loyally, since they took my advice and shortened this season by a whole bunch o’ episodes.
If Liz doesn’t sashay her way into a million bucks looking like creepy-thin Helen at the end of last season, the second chances-themed season 8 will be a success. And it will be extra successful if “evil-eyed, weepy-voiced android” Amanda lands firmly below her far superior competitors, Rudy and Danny, too.
I’ll be thinking of you tonight at 8, PopWatchers, when I unwrap my Subway sandwich, pour myself some Brita water and get down to business watching the Biggest Loser season 8 finale. Are you looking forward to tonight’s show, too? Who do you want to win?
Don’t know why you hate Amanda so much. I always liked her. You seem strangely bent out of shape about her.
Me too, I’m pulling for her tonight. She’s the real underdog.
I think there are other people that are there that definatly deserve it more than her. She spent half of the season crying and whining.
I hope past season winner ERIC does good. I am glad Bob went to visit him and made a deal with him to come back on the season finale and weigh in. GOOD LUCK ERIC!
Bob made a deal with Eric to come back to the season 9 finale to weigh in- I am pulling for him when he does weigh in come spring/summer (or whenever it airs)!
I think that Danny will win but I don’t like him. He has no compassion. He did not need to say anything to the people he voted off. I hope he loses. Amanda is an amazing individual to be so young.
There is no suspense whatsoever, Danny is the obvious winner.
Exactly-no one can compete with Danny. I don’t know how he managed to lose 59lbs in 2 months. Unbelievable! Yet, he does get on my nerves crying all of the time.
This show should be sponsored by Kleenex because of all the crying.Everytime somebody starts crying we always say it’s another Kleenex moment.
Danny might have been the winner but Rudy will take it all. He has more to lose than Danny now and I know he will do it. But I like Danny too, just hope either of those two win. I want Rudy though, I like him and Bob needs someone from his side to win. Tired of all of Jillians winning. I can tell you it won’t be a woman this time!

How exactly does she deserve it any more than any of the others? All she did was whine about how old she was and she’s only 49 even though she looks older than my mother who is 63.
Funny – when they revealed she was 49, I was stunned. I thought she was 60+.

Heck, I’m rooting for Tracey to win the at-home prize!! She was so miserably edited – talk about not fair. Rebecca was nothing but a little immature brat.
I’m always surprised at how scary skinny they get for the finale, so I think it’s anybody’s win, but I think Danny is the most deserving.

Villain? How about when Rudy back stabbed Shay in one of their challenges. I love this show and I respect every contestant’s hard work…but stay true to yourself and be proud of how you accomplished it!
Get your facts straight Booma. Rudy did NOT stab Shay in the back. The agreement was neither one would take the other one out till the end. But when Rudy saw that Shay’s posse of youngins were talking out everyone on Rudy’s team, and it was either Allen or Shay, why wouldn’t he pick Shay to take out? Are you really that stupid????

I would really like to see Danny win. They’ve all worked SO hard and I root for all of them every single week, but I have a special place in my heart for Danny.
Rudy has to win. He looks absolutely fabulous and has worked so hard

Shay turned out to be a wiener. All this talk about “needing to be there,” and “who deserves to be here.” Give it a rest. It’s a COMPETITIVE GAME.
You are an idiot. He was NOT mean to Shay. Hell her crying got on my nerves. Everyone kept her on that show because they saw she needed help, but when is it enough? Shouldn’t SHE be held accountable and help herself? Rudy did nothing wrong. I am glad Rebecca the witch was voted off. Glad Rudy was the one to do it. Lame excuse or not, she needed to go.
I would like to see Danny win as he has worked really hard to get his weight down and I just love his outlook and attitude. Also he is what I consider a real TEAM PLAYER.
I would like amanda to win she is young and she has got alot going for her. Liz well she is out in the middle of now where and you don’t km

They tried too hard to make “villans” in this season. First with Tracey and then with Rudy “backstabbing” Shay. Seriously if she couldn’t tell he was joking during that challenge, she’s an idiot. And I hate how they made Shay seem “all alone” when she had a husband and 2 stepkids -_-
I’m totally agree with what you said about Shay. She played the whole “poor me” card and made us think that she had no family or friends and was all alone. I can’t believe they all fell for it and let her stay on the show for as long as she did. I’m guessing when we see her at the finale she’ll still have a ton of weight to lose because she was very lazy on the show compared to everyone else that worked their butts off. And by the way, she wasn’t the only person that weighed over 400 lbs, so she has no excuse….but she was full of excuses the entire time.
